“Amaizing Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

Amaizing design hotel in the hart of Lisboa, easy to reach from the airport, close to the metro end to the must important touristic site of the city, you can wolk everywere, don't need to use the metro, bus or wathever. Not far from barrio alto just 10 minutes wolk from the night life clubs and bars.

The hotel is really design, new, good bed, you can chose of different king of pillow, small kitchen in room, and beautiful bathroom.

The ONLY black point is the shower, not good isolated but they confirmed to me that they are plan to change soon.

A special thanks to Ava and Duarte, receptionist guys really professional and perfect for good advise.

For sure is the best hotel in Lisboa and ill back soon for visit again this wanderfull fanny city.

At the heart of the Lisbon, reception is like your living room, friendly stuff and great rooms.
I thing this hotel deserves all applause. When you exit from Baixa-Chiado metro station ( from right exit ) it's very easy to find it. me and my family spent 3 wonderful nights at this hotel. And our room was amazing. Ihome, Ipod, Imac, 55" LCD are some of the tech. products. Ultra modern design makes you comfortable and it doesn't allow you to go out. If you can, you just step to heart of the city. Walking tours just starts from in front of the hotel. Tram 28 , Elevator, Alfamo, Rossi are some of the attraction points those are very close to hotel. Hotel has best value for your paying.

Room Tip: you'd better book early for suit rooms.

There are 2 divisions, the Browns downtown HOTEL and the APARTMENTS. For 2 nights we stayed in the hotel, and then the hotel was booked so we stayed in the apartments 1 night. The hotel was well decorated and modern and it is comfortably situated just steps from the subway station. It is quite glamorous and should be considered at least a 4 star (even though its technically a 3 star.) The street outside was being re-done so it was sort of torn up and the room next door was getting work done on the shower (since it leaks and there is a puddle of water when you get out.) We loved the luxurious beds, the internet came and went on our floor but we were able to connect to the lobby internet and the floor above us.

This wasn't the case for the apartments- situated right down the street from the hotel, the Browns apartments are basically the same but the internet did not function in our room. There was no signal whatsoever on the 4th floor and we couldnt connect to anything in our room. We went to the downstairs coffee shop to use the internet... but hey, you're in Lisbon, get off the computer and get out and explore the city!

Great location just one street over from Rua Augusta, and close to Baixa-Chiado metro. Nice modern rooms but problems for being such a new establishment. Be prepared to use at least two of your towels to sop up the water that leaks out of the shower. Apparently it does this in every room and the hotel knows about it, but I'm not sure what they are going to do about it (if anything). I don't know who they got to do the plumbing but he obviously didn't know what he was doing because the water doesn't go down the drain fast enough, it just accumulates and spills out into the bathroom. Also in our room (409) the thermostat didn't work. So no matter what way you turned the knob, or what setting you put it on, it just blew out hot air, so you have to wake up in the middle of the night and turn it completely off. We paid 82 euros a night and after seeing how cheap things are in Lisbon, I think you could find something better for less without the problems. It's a shame too, because the staff were all very nice, and they've put a lot of extras into the room to make it modern (large flat screen tv, apple computers etc) but that shower leaking problem needs to be addressed.

In short this hotel is an ideal base for a short break in Lisbon, it`s clean comfortable and mostly quiet, we did hear some revellers returning home in the early hours,I thought it was ideally located within easy walking distance of the castle and Alfama neighbourhood, and also to the nightlife area of Barro Alto, the bed was large and comfortable, the rooms are equipped with televisions, ipod docking stations, ipads and imacs, great if you`re wanting to stay in and play! our shower was very good but we did find that even with the door properly closed the water leaked out quite a lot and swamped the floor! if yo want a view be sure to ask as our room at the back had a grotty outlook of a concrete wall, there is a free tea & coffee vending machine on the ground floor by reception which is nice but would have so much better to have had facilities in the room. All in for the price we paid I thought it very reasonable and would stay here again.

Stayed at Browns Hotel in Lisbon for 5 Nights and it was good value for money. It is well situated in the walking district of Lisbon with access to all areas. The rooms were quite small but had use of an Apple Ipad and also a 26inch Apple computer which was very useful.. Property a little noisy as you can hear the walking on the floor upstairs but would stay here again if I visited Lisbon in the future.

Room Tip: No breakfast is available so you are only paying for the room. Ensure you get one of the larger ro...

We got a very good out-of-season deal on a double room. The hotel is stylishly decorated, very clean and in a great central location, and the reception staff are friendly. Each room has a computer, ipad and (rather patchy) wifi access.

There are a few design niggles:- the rooms are pretty small and there's very little space to store luggage (space is used instead for a kitchenette which I doubt many tourists make use of with so many cafes and restaurants nearby), the walls are very thin, and the shallow shower tray means you'll almost certainly flood your bathroom.
