This restaurant serves very typical Portugese dishes. We celebrated our 1st year anniversary here due to all the great reviews on Tripadvisor and I have to say they were so right. The ambiance is very cozy and romantic but what really is the highlight is the food and service. We also started with octopus salad was out of this world! loved the food here - especially the garlic prawns. A great experience! Highly recommend!

Mary and I were here twice - one night just the two of us, the other with Carlos and Martina. Carlos is experienced and raved about the choice. The appetizers, the house wine, the side entrees, and then the Meat on Stone.

What a disastrous first night in Lisbon. Based on TripAdvisor ratings we opted for this restaurant on a Friday night. Big mistake. It was very quiet and I wonder about previous reviews. Having come from Spain we were surprised when we were charged for the bread and olives brought to our table. The food was unacceptable with clearly microwaved and reheated ribs and chips. We had the beef on the hot stone and the stalky spinach (luke warm) accompaniment. The gratis dessert wine was squeezed from a cask. Do yourself a favour and walk on by. Also, not cheap

My partner and I were looking for somewhere nice to have local food in Barrio Alto, and looked at a few restaurants. We came into Ha Piteu and loved the place and menu. We had to wait 20mins squeezed up against the bar which was a pain, but the friendly service and great food more than made up for it. We ordered five tapas dishes with soup starters. We were stuffed after 4 dishes and struggled on the 5th. The food was so good I struggled to get it down. My girlfriend had told the waitress that it was my birthday and they went out to get a special chocolate bomb style cake with ice cream (they don't serve it on the menu). I was so touched. They even gave us a shot of Port each.
In summing, one of the best restaurants I've been in in a long time. Check it out if your in Lisbon!
