My boyfriend and I were here today - he had pork (black Iberian pig) with asparagus, and I had cod fish with potatoes. We also had a plate of cured cheese (pretty good) and bread plus two glasses of vinho verde - house wine - plus 1 glass of red wine - also house wine. The price was 45 euros. We both enjoyed the food, and the wine was good quality. We recommend drinking vinho verde (green wine) for aperitif, and not with your meal. we were served complimentary moscatel /mushkateu/ which was excellent as digestive. The service was nice - they were there, but not aggressively there. We were happy but are ready to try better and cheaper food in LIsboa, so we might not go back.

On our holiday to Lisbon we ate here on our last night. When we first arrived at the restaurant there was only one other couple in, but the waitress wanted us to sit at the table next to them, it was more like a table for 4 as there was only a 5cm gap between tables. We asked if we could sit somewhere else and they let us do this. Our experience much improved after this, the food was fantastic, some of the best food we ate on our travels. Service was a little slow surprisingly for how small the place was. Top marks for food. Service could of been better, I liked that there was a casual atmosphere but a few points in the night we had to try and get the waiters attention. I still recommend going!

After reading many great reviews here on TripAdvisor, we decided to visit Ha Piteu during our visit in Lisbon.

The service was excellent. Though a popular place, the staff managed to get us a table for two despite the fact that we had forgotten to reserve a table. Very nice.

The food was served relatively quick, which was also nice.

We ordered six dishes (tapas) + bread (w/aioli). Chips (fried potato skins), fried green beans, deep fried chicken, shrimps, pork ("grandmas"), and portuguese chorizo.

The bread&aioli were very good, so was the chips and the shrimps. The rest was fairly average, we thought. This was a bit disappointing, as our expectations were high.

A nice touch at the end of our meal was that we were served a local lemon liqeur free of charge.

To sum up: an OK experience, but we expected more after reading all the great TA-reviews.

We got there and all tables were occupied. We asked if we could sit at the bar to eat. They were nice enough to accept and even promise to allow us to move to the first available table. We had amazing starters at the bar before moving to a table. We all had different starters so we can share, they were all very good and plentiful. The main course was truly amazing: the fried octopus, the beef and the cod were delightfully delicious. The service was great, they were all friendly and helpful! A must try when in Lisbon!

We booked a table and were well-advised to do so. We were seated immediately (not a given in Lisbon even if you book!!) it's located in a touristy/bar area, but the venue is small.

We had wonderful roasted chorizo for starters (good to see it roast on the bar counter). Then we enjoyed some pork chops with some sort of mash of asparagus. Very good. The dessert was ok enough. We had a complimentary moscatel (not surprising though - whatever you spend it seems you'll have something).

The service was efficient and nice enough.

We haven't tried any other place in the area so we can't compare but this one seems like a good choice.
