Description: Cozy, romantic and typically Portuguese, our restaurant in the heart of Bairro Alto, business north of Portugal to the south and serves wines and delicacies of our cuisine in the form of "delicacies". We are a space where relive the homemade flavors is synonymous with quality, harmony and good taste. The restaurant “HA PITEU” chose his name according to the concept that proposes. Opened in 2009, Located in the heart of Bairro Alto is a small space with traditional decor. The peaceful setting and the soft light turn on in a romantic restaurant, suitable for more intimate moments. It is attended by guests from many sources such as Alfacinhas and tourists to the mix. From midnight, there are people who come to share a roast chorizo dish, accompanied by a glass of wine or drink a sangria. Inspired by the cuisine of all Portuguese regions, the menu HA PITEU presents "SNACKS/TAPAS" as crispy potato skins, cuttlefish, roasted chorizo, among other delicacies. There are also more elaborate dishes such as Octopus, codfish, seafood rice “Chef especiality”, Seafood “CATAPLANA” (Monkfish and shrimp), grilled sardines, Iberian black pork, Loin Veal in the hot stone or tuna steak with friend fries, there is also Vegetarian option. For dessert, there delights as chocolat mousse and sericaia (portuguese traditional dessert), among others. To follow, stemmed wine from north to south of Portugal. This restaurant is closed on Tuesdays, but on Fridays, Saturdays and eve of public holidays is open until at 3:00 am (the kitchen closes at 01:00). Excellent wines from various regions from north to south of the country

We came there after we read many positive impressions from TripAdvisor.
I can definetly talk about a really good place for diner, not at the top of my life but probably one of the best in Lisboa, for price and for service.

If I have to talk about something wrong, the meat's fillet was serviced raw (not wrote in the menu), and the customers had to cook it by himself. Not at the top if you don't have experience with that.

We was 4 and we spent something like 25€ for person for tapas and for 1 plat for person.

The coldfish was not bad, but half of it was way too salty, almost not eatable. It's ok sometimes to make a mistake when seasoning a dish but we didn't expected the owner of the restaurant not to believe us when we very politely told her that the fish was not good. I'll pass the details but we felt that she was "artificially" boosting positive reviews on Tripadvisor by subtly asking happy clients to leave a comment when leaving the place. We clearly didn't feel that way.

Although the place was full (it was Saturday night), they accommodated three of us at the small bar. Service was very good, much better than the typical Portuguese restaurant. We had several small plates, all very nice, and a bottle of wine. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were presented with a (free) small glass of Moscatel at the end, which was very nice and our first exposure to it.

Again, solely due to reviews on Trip Advisor, my family ate in this incredible small plates restaurant in the Bairro Alto section of Lisbon. Called at the last minute for a reservation, and thankfully, we were accommodated as the wait after we left was quite impressive. As we were hungry, we sampled at least 3/4 of the tapas, one better than the next. We each had our favorite. My daughter, the scrambled eggs, my son, the fried chicken bites, my wife, the beans and mixed sausages, and I loved everything! House wine was excellent as well. The bill was totally reasonable, all in for 60 euros. I highly recommend eating at Ha Piteu.

Very typical portuguese restaurant in the enchanting area of Barrio Alto.
We've spent a beautiful night and we've eaten fantastic typical portuguese dishes based on shrimps, pork and codfish.
We've drinken also a tastefull sangria!
For dessert we've tried a portuguese cake cooked with eggs, milk and cinnamon.
Last but not least we've drinken ginjinha, the portuguese cherry liquor.
If you visit Lisbon, you've to try this restaurant!
