Really enjoyed the food, delicious, and great value for money. Really great service (and in English), and it's located in the heart of Bairro Alto, perfect to grab a cocktail after dinner. You won't be disappointed.

I really cant understand the ratings in this place. I mean, its not a terrible place, it's just plainly bad. The food is supposed to be traditional Portuguese tapas ... Instead you get a mix of microwaved fast food and basic poor quality stuff. I mean, take the "tiborna de presunto" for instance. If you go to Taberna Ideal, or many other true Portuguese tapas restaurants, you get a complex, very tasty dish. Here you get a slice of bread, with a touch of pesto and a slice of cheap ham on top! Just go somewhere else. Across the street you have PapAcorda, not a well rated place mainly because of the "moody" service, but you will get true Portuguese, good quality food.

Bairro Alto is full of very average tourist restaurants and this is certainly better than that.
The service is friendly and efficient (owner and staff) - a plus is that they don't assume you want to eat (and pay for) all the covert starters but ask you which, if any, you fancy. We all had cod with sautéed potatoes - tasty enough but mine was really badly filleted and we were disappointed that the potatoes were just boiled and tossed in butter rather than, well, sautéed. The restaurant is fairly small, which is fine, but rather dark and a little on the drab side. Prices average. Complementary glass of port a nice touch for tourists.
