Description: Cozy, romantic and typically Portuguese, our restaurant in the heart of Bairro Alto, business north of Portugal to the south and serves wines and delicacies of our cuisine in the form of "delicacies". We are a space where relive the homemade flavors is synonymous with quality, harmony and good taste. The restaurant “HA PITEU” chose his name according to the concept that proposes. Opened in 2009, Located in the heart of Bairro Alto is a small space with traditional decor. The peaceful setting and the soft light turn on in a romantic restaurant, suitable for more intimate moments. It is attended by guests from many sources such as Alfacinhas and tourists to the mix. From midnight, there are people who come to share a roast chorizo dish, accompanied by a glass of wine or drink a sangria. Inspired by the cuisine of all Portuguese regions, the menu HA PITEU presents "SNACKS/TAPAS" as crispy potato skins, cuttlefish, roasted chorizo, among other delicacies. There are also more elaborate dishes such as Octopus, codfish, seafood rice “Chef especiality”, Seafood “CATAPLANA” (Monkfish and shrimp), grilled sardines, Iberian black pork, Loin Veal in the hot stone or tuna steak with friend fries, there is also Vegetarian option. For dessert, there delights as chocolat mousse and sericaia (portuguese traditional dessert), among others. To follow, stemmed wine from north to south of Portugal. This restaurant is closed on Tuesdays, but on Fridays, Saturdays and eve of public holidays is open until at 3:00 am (the kitchen closes at 01:00). It has a nice ambiance during dinner, with fantastic tapas, and after 00h00 it becomes a bar with drinks from M to XXL sizes!

“Great restaurant in the Bairro Alto area”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

This was a vert good restaurant! The food was delicious and there was a good atmosphere. They have one thing that is very rare in Portugal : Good service ! First, they ask you if you want what they call the "couvert" instead of just putting it on the table (for those who are are not familiar with this, it is usually bread, cheese, olives and butter that restaurants bring to your table without you asking... When you get your receit at the end, they charge you for all of it which can sometimes double the price of your meal). Also, the owner was lovely. She offered us Each a small glass of Porto at the end of the meal, free of charge.

I would certainly recommend to anyone visiting the Bairro Alto area.

“Great food, great service”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

We were lucky enough to get the last available table when we walked into Ha Piteu last night and the petiscos were delicious. We were welcomed in by Christina (I'm pretty sure..?) who was lovely and helpful, especially as we couldn't speak Portuguese. It's a great little place, highly recommended.

“Loved it.”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

Went here with 2 friends and had the best experience we've had in Lisbon. Great food, service, and best sangria ever - they recommended the sparkling that wasn't on the menu, and it was amazing. Only thing to note is they don't take cards, so bring cash.
