Good local food, prompt service, not overpriced (remember to say no to the bread, cheese and meats as this adds around 7 euro to your bill). While this place reviewed well and was better than the regular tourist haunts it wasn't over the top impressive. It was however filled with foreigners, ourselves included, but don't think any locals were there at all.

Took ages to get the bill - apparently only one person can issue the bill,

Thank Ndph

Warm welcom by the staff. We ordered meat on a hot stone which was very fancy. The meat was tender and succulent. As side dish we were served with french fries and vegetables. The head of the restaurant suggested a very heavy but excellent Portugese red wine. We enjoyed the stay at Ha Pietu and can recommand it to everybody.

My girlfriend and I went to this restaurant for our last night in Lisbon and I am very glad that we did. We got there around 7:30 and the restaurant was empty but we went in anyway. By about 9:00 the place was packed with barely any seats left except to take the places of people who were done. The decor was very nice and very pleasing. We were greeted kindly by the staff who took care of us and provided excellent recommendations for wine. All of the food was very good. I would recommend getting the fried chorizo. I am not a big sausage fan but it was delicious. They also prepare the friend chorizo at the table with a big flame which was really fun to watch happening. We ended up staying at the restaurant for almost three hours because we were enjoying ourselves so much in wonderful atmosphere of the place.

Unlikely looking restaurant in Bar Alto. Had a table booked and had a look at the restaurant during the day. The street did not look very inviting in daylight but was very different at night when everthing cane alive. The hosts very very friendly and I would recommenend the veal on ahot stone ( which you cook youself).
