“Interesting and definitely a talking point”

One femail and two males, we visted this museum purely by chance, we did not even know it was there, I am sure there was no mention of it in the guidebooks. Based in an old building which had previously been a bank, the display was worth an hour or so of your time. Well laid out, make sure you see all the levels.

Building is a horror, and there appeared to be only one toilet for women and one for men which in a public building is just wrong.

Free entry and I think something for everyone.

“For people who love design it is one to see”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2012 via mobile

It is a small museum which only takes about 30 mins to see but I enjoyed it. The references token events in each decade was eye opening. Like the invention of the first personal computer was not that long ago! I also enjoyed the fashion feature upstairs with some great inspiration. Wanted a lot of what was on display! Also it is free, what's better than that!

“Not a must-see”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2012

It is a small design museum showing how design evolved in Europe during the last 100 years. Given the name one expects more to see. The visit shouldn't take more than one hour. You can go there if you have one hour to waste. The entrance is free.

“Disappointing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2012

Only the ground floor was open. I was so excited when I saw the shoes at the first, but the rest of the exhibit was sparse and not inspiring. The building itself was in the middle of being renovated... At least it was free and 2 minutes away from where I was staying.

“A museum with easy access and great price - FREE”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2012

There are 2 stories of design and fashion on display at MUDE. MUDE is kid friendly without being desinged for kids (we took our three daughters ages 6, 6, and 2 along with two design books and they had a blast)! Even my husband enjoyed the trip. MUDE is one of my favorite places in Lisbon!
