“Excellent pizzeria”
Reviewed March 13, 2013 via mobile

Excellent pizzas all cooked perfectly with a great base and fresh ingredients. Good selection, including a range without tomatoes. English speaking staff. Not the place for a romantic meal, but ideal for good value tasty pizza. A cover was automatically placed on our table, but as we didn't eat any of it, there was no charge unlike another restaurant we visited in the city. 2 pizzas plus half a bottle of wine was 25 euros.

“Great pizza in Lisbon”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

I only go here for the pizza so that is all I can rate - but it is excellent, and the pizza is always consistently great, no variance, always good quality. They have a great balance between thin crust and thick (just perfect balance). Service is ok, but nothing fantastic.

The 4 cheese pizza is amazing, and one with shrimp and rocket salad is also very good. I have become a fan of the pizza without sauce (they have both options), and it is my new favourite.

Very reasonable prices for the great quality of pizza - can't even compare to the Esperança Sé pizza near Sé which is a complete rip off price wise and is more like a starter flat bread than pizza.

“Good Pizza in the heart of Lisbon”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

Having a yearning for pizza on our recent trip to Lisbon, we happened upon this place which is just off the bustling Rua Garrett in Chiado. Set in a pretty little courtyard, this restaurant had a pleasant buzzy atmosphere and was very popular with locals and tourists alike.

The pizza menu was more authentic than you may see here in the UK, no ham and pineapple thank goodness, and the quality of the ingredients was spot on. I settled on a simple speck and ricotta pizza which for me was perfectly cooked with the base just puffing up around the edges. Others in the party were equally impressed, although one did complain that their base was over-sauced and thus was a little soggy. The wine list was OK and reasonably priced with both Italy and Portugal represented.

As with elsewhere in Lisbon , we found the service to be rather poor, with long delays to get menus, take orders and get drinks. Am not sure if we were just unlucky throughout our stay or whether our expectations are just different. However, would still recommend this place if you have a pizza craving.

We tried this one night when we needed a change from Portuguese cuisine. We were impressed with the authentic flavours of the food, and as we are Italian, and were raised on mamma's cooking, we should know! On our second visit, we discovered the owner was Neopolitan! We had pizza, risotto, eggplant parmesan, and salads. Everything was tasty, hot, and fresh. We found service to be good. My husband has a gluten problem, and the servers were very helpful. We had no problems with the bill, as mentioned by others. It did get a little noisy, and one evening there were children running around. This seems to be a common thing in Europe. Someone did try to sell us flowers, but we said no, and they left. We would definitely go back!

“Boa pizza”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

They have a really hot pizza and I love hot food! It was great. The place is nice with a lot of shade. One of the best zone to have lunch in Chiado, out of the street agitation
