The fado show is great. The restaurant is beautiful. The food is terrible. All the ingredients were fresh, no doubt about it. But fresh food doesn't necessarily mean tasty food if it is not prepared well. We were a table of 6, none of us enjoyed their meal. It's a shame because this restaurant has everything to be a fantastic place. The prices are ok given that they give you access to a nice show, but the food is so bad that you leave the restaurant really sad of the price you pay.
Badly managed business unfortunately.

We just came from fado show and dinner. The food wasn't good at all for the price but I have to say the service was excellent. Show was interesting but I'm sure there are other good places with fado!

This is one of the places you have to go to if you visit Lisbon. It comes at a price but on balance it was worth it and very enjoyable. When we got there it was fully booked but the manager suggested we wait and see. 5 minutes later he had a cancellation and we were in. It is a lovely setting like an old cellar with a stage at the end. We had one of the available set menu's 41 euro per head three courses and a bottle of white wine 25.50 euro. So its not cheap but you do get an excellent Fado show and there are things in life that are worth the money and this is one of them. I would like to thank the manager for getting us in it really did enhance our visit to Lisbon

We should, of course, have read the other reviews posted here before going, but this was recommended by our hotel when we asked reception about where to go for an authentic fado experience.

The total cost was about 150 Euros. The food wasn't bad, but wasn't special and the performance was truly awful. There were brief moments of fado which were good, but the overwhelming impression was of a cheap, badly performed tourist show. We have seen much better performances of folk music and fado for free in hotels in the Algarve and Madeira.
