We stayed at this hotel in September 2011. The location is excellent; close to the centre and within close distance to amenities (there are restaurants and a supermarket nearby). I really enjoyed walking all the way down the Avenida da Liberdade into town from the hotel. Be advised however that it is a long distance, and can be tiring especially in summers. However, by the time you reach the centre, you would have seen a lot of the main attractions mentioned in your guide! Please also note that Lisbon in September can be hot!

There is a bus stop just outside the hotel and it can be taken to town and also to the airport. The room we stayed in was large. It had a double bed and a sort of sleeper bed next to it. We were given this room as they were still cleaning our room. The view from the room was not amazing; it overlooked the back of the hotel onto the backs of other houses and drain pipes and other uninteresting buildings. The furniture in the room was old but it was clean and comfortable.

I have to say that we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We tremendously enjoyed Lisbon and explored the town to the max during the day and therefore it was really nice to come back to a clean and nice comfortable room, have a shower and go to sleep!

If you are visiting Lisbon in the summer (or even in winter), take the train to Cascais or Estoril. You will probably never forget the train ride and wonderful Cascais. Happy Travelling!

it is a 2 star basic hotel. The room given to us for our 4 nights stay in Feb is a corner one on 6th floor. hence much larger than the middle rooms. We asked for single beds, a better choice than the smaller double bed.

Check in is fast. Front desk reception place is small. No seats at the lobby, only have a small table for some sweets for you to take.

1 computer at the back for guest to use free.

Given to us the corner room, rather big . The room faced the main street of Ribeiro, its quiet as we opened the window ( they have 2 layers of windows) and switch off the air-conditioned which has hot air out.

The room doesn’t have fridge, safety box, facial tissues. ALL IN 1 shampoo and shower gel is standard like the Ibis Amsterdam. If you prefer a better one, bring your own shampoo or buy from nearby shops

The Hotel is near to a small continente shop (out from hotel, turn right, down the slope, reach end, you will see the shop across the road at the next block) and a bigger one up on the slope but further. A bottle of 6 litres mineral water of their housebrand is less than 70 cents euro!!

The main reason we chose this hotels as its near to Metro station Saldanha 9 at least 5 mins to reach the metro entrance ( not exactly a few steps away) and good room priced.

Had a quick look at the buffet breakfast with some limited spreads of cold hams etc so venture outside where theres plenty of good pastry (not near hotel) nearby tourist attractions which you normally would visit.

The hotel offer free wifi service in the room but you have to use the coupons the hotel staff gives you to log in which is valid for 30mins. Then you have to use another coupon ( with different log in name and passwords) for another 30 mins free......

Theres no printer at lobby for you to print things. So you have to enquire from frontdesk for their email address and sent them the things you wish to print as`they will get it printed for you free. I did that for my check in boarding pass.

On last day, it was drizzling, tried to borrow umbrella from reception. They didnt have any and they later found a broken one which we felt didnt serve the purpose so didnt take it.

Room Tip: Higher floor, corner room, a better choice

The rooms are too small and you have a place just for bag. Windows can't be opened.
wi-fi is just on password for 30 min and not working 24 hours.
and the breakfast is not good, because for that money it is not enough to eat jam and marmelade. There is no valeu for money because in every near restaurant you can eat cheaper.

Nice located, just a few steps from Saldanha metro station with direct metro connection (red line) to the airport (ca 20min). Hotel is a typical Ibis – standard, clean, basic rooms. Breakfast 6 EUR (who wants to save, there is a bakery just opposite the street and ca 100m further direction Saldanha is a big supermarket with small coffee). Stuff is helpful, internet is paid, late checkout 7 EUR. If you have status with Accor hotels (me being platinum) don’t expect any special treatment – rooms are the same, late checkout still 7 EUR despite club rules.
OK, fine located budget option for Lisbon, might come again

Standard trustworthy Ibis in a great location. It has parking and a good breakfast for the price.
The staff arranged us a rental car, transportation to airport, and were super helpful re: our many questions. They had all the answers. The room was clean and quite comfortable for 3 ladies.
My only complaint was the noise at night. Too much door slamming going on. I would stay here again.
