This is a beautiful square! Lisbon is a really beautiful city and it has a few of these squares. We enjoyed walking around and watching people. We went to the top of the clock. There is an amazing view of the city at the top.

Beautiful place in front of the water and near the city center but be aware of drugs dealers who don't hesitate to propose you to buy drugs in the middle of the place and are agressive when you refuse...

This was my second visit to Lisbon and this is the place to start any walking tour of this lovely city. It is a large square on the waterfront surrounded by beautiful old buildings. It gives way onto a series of streets on a grid system which contain many of the main shops. Most of the main historical attractions of the city are accessible on foot from here.
