“Impressive construction”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

I do not know if it 's worth a dedicated visit only to see it, but it is a really nice experience. It looks impressive both when looking at it and when driving on it. When driving, you have a great look over Lisbon. My wife took some fab pics from the car (you can also stop by on dedicated areas and do some pictures). This bridge seems to have no end ;)

“An experience!”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

Most bridges are not so big an experience - this is the exception! It feels like flying closely over the water, with two "mountains" to cross on the course.
You can combine the bridge trip with a visit to Palmela castle and to Cristo Rei, and return over Lisbons other Tejo bridge.

“Nice to see it”

Portugal have some great bridges but this one is nice. You have a mall close so you can do some shopping there after taking some pictures. If you don't have a lot of time watch the Golden Gate replica instead.

“Impressive with a great view”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

17km where you wish there was no speed limit and that there wiould be some places to stop to enjoy the view over the Tejo that looks like an ocean. Going south is for free and you'll find right after the bridge the Freeport in Alcochete which I can also recommend.
