After a week and a half of traveling through Portugal, my husband wanted an ABC meal . . . Anything But Cod. . . in Lisboa. We found a shortcut which turned out to be a street usually reserved for a funicular (not working). It was a long walk straight up at a 45 degree angle and I thought i was going to have a heart attack. The reward at the end of that road was Momenti. It was one of the best Italian meals we ever had and we have toured much of Italy and the Italian areas of many, many cities in the United States. Bolognese for my husband and pesto with a hint of orange along with fresh made pasta was simple perfection! Loved the waiter/barman from Milan - chatty, helpful, efficient. The Chef was from Sicily and seemed to enjoy the fact that I was blowing him kisses from across the room. If you feel like eating Italian when in Lisboa, you must dine at Momenti. It is small and homey - not fancy - but the food is authentic and delicious .
