“Climb uphill - it is worth of it!”

Remarkable building, really worth seeing. Free entrance with Lisboa Card. You have some climbing to reach it. But you can avoid the sweaty stairs to get on the dome & large terrace. There is an elevetor, but it is so hidden! [note: even with elevator you need to climb two sets of stairs]. Another hidden item is WC, which is really hard to find. It is located behind the organs. You better ask advice from the officer.

“Spectacular!”

Definitely worth a visit if you are in Lisbon. Beautiful 360 degree views of entire city. Alfama neighborhood just down the road.

“Definitely worth the visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2013

A beautiful domed church with full access to the top floor (right beneath the dome) as well as the roof (which provides beautiful views of the Tagus and the city). It is a little away from the main city center but easily accessible with public transport, be aware though that if you are down near the water it makes for a good hike up some steep streets.

“Worth a visit”

Despite being a bit away from the center of the city, the Pantheon is a "must visit" place. Beautiful architecture and the tombs of some of the most important people in Portugal, with information about them.

“Great building with wonderful views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

A friend from Lisbon and I visited the National Pantheon in April of 2013. The building is very imposing and interesting and we enjoyed casually making our way through it taking photographs. Unfortunately for us, it was a somewhat rainy day, so we didn't get to enjoy the great views of the city, but I hope to be able to go back again another time to do that. I had seen the building many time from the air during previous visits, so it was great to actually be able to take a look inside and partake of the rich history.
