Great place to stay! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very elegant and well maintained hotel with a balcony overlooking the Tagus River and and a shady outdoor patio where you can enjoy breakfast.

We found this hotel as recommended by our guidebook, and it lived up to our expectations. We stayed three nights.

The hotel is charming and unique. It is small, but feels spacious. The decor is lovely. Each room is thoughtfully done and has a wonderful overall effect. There is a comfortable terrace upstairs where you can sit outside and enjoy the view. We enjoyed the complementary hot beverages, which included espresso drinks.

The rooms themselves are small but quite comfortable. The hotel provides a generous bottle of Port wine in each room, complements of the house.

The concierge was quite helpful, and gave us directions when we needed them. Included for free with your hotel fee is a free pass into the National Museum of Antique Art, which is on the same block as the hotel. The location of the hotel is in a quieter area, which we appreciated, but meant that a bus was necessary to reach either the city centre or Belem.

We had a lovely stay. The hotel's unique decor made it quite a memorable experience.

We had a totally fantastic stay here. The hotel is lovely with wonderful outside spaces. We loved having tea on the roof terrace, looking out over the river. Breakfast was in a beautiful courtyard garden full of flowers and served from 7.30-12 - a fantastic idea. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Complimentary tea, coffee and custard tarts are available for whenever you might wish and if that is not enough to convince you then how about complimentary port in your room! We also arrived to a surprise bottle of bubbles for my boyfriend's birthday which was such a sweet touch. Your room card even gives free admission to the art gallery next door. Very highly recommended.

An extremely relaxed and romantic hotel, or heritage inn as they call it. My wife and I stayed here for three nigths and loved every minute of it. Not the usual hustle and bustle of big hotels, but a nice and beautifully decorated mansion-like hotel, where every one is as helpfull as can be and guests are trully treated and welcomed as guests. The hotel has a wonderfull small garden where breakfast is served until noon! The rooms are romanticly decorated, air conditioned and the beds are good. Piece de resistance of the hotel, apart from the service and atmosphere, is the bar on the 3rd floor with an intimate sunny terras overlooking the Tagus river.

Room Tip: The higher floor rooms on the back of the hotel offer a river view. The first floor rooms 1 and 2 ar...

My trip was messed up by US Airways so that I had half the time in Lisbon I had planned. Anna got me into a room on arrival so that I could shower and start immediately. When I had to leave for the airport before breakfast would begin service, Anna arranged for a tray to be sent to my room. It was great coffee!

Room Tip: The back of the hotel looks over the harbor.

We stayed here in August 2014 for two nights. The hotel is full of character and beautifully maintained. Eating breakfast on the garden with the sun shining was a joy. Although a good 25 - 30 minutes stroll to Lisbon Centre we found it an ideal base, taxis, buses and train line all accessible.

It was my birthday whilst staying here, what a lovely surprise to find a complimentary chilled bottle of Portuguese fizz on our return to our room
that day.

I would highly recommend this hotel, and congratulate them on the high standards.

Very nice hotel. Great self serve facilities for bar and complementary hot drinks through out our stay. Air conditioned room were also very well received during the summer months. It's about 25 minutes into the centre of the city, with some hills, although there are some very nice restaurants nearby to choose from.
