“A world class exhibit, a must see when in Lisbon”

After all the tourist strain of old Lisbon this is a marked contrast and truly stunning!
The site is readily accessible by a first class subway from Centro!
Don't miss it!

“Amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2012

Best Oceanario we've been to. Central tank with 4 'scenes' around it, Loved it all. Especially the puffins and the otters. Beware - if you suffer from vertigo you may find the entry challenging as you have to cross from one building to the main oceanaria by a walkway.

“Worth the Effort”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

A first class Aquarium with plenty of opportunities to view the main central tank and it's occupants in relative peace and quiet. The well planed out one way system means you do not miss a thing. The temporary exhibit of rescued turtles was amazing with the ability to view them from the side, below your feet and even above your head! But my favorite were the Otters. Well worth every Euro of the entrance fee.

“Great Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2012

It was my 3rd visit to this fantastic Aquarium. I went there in 1998, 2007 and now 2012.
Nothing really changed since my first visit, but it's always an amazing experience. I could stay there for hours.

There is a central large tank, a few smaller ones with different species and you can also be in four different habitats (North Atlantic, the Antarctic, the Pacific Forests and the Tropical Indian coral reefs).
You can be there as long as you want but I can tell you that it takes around 2 hours to see everything.

The only bad thing about it is the huge amount of visitors. Too crowded during summer.

The temporary exhibition about the turtles isn't worth your money. I didn't see any turtles there.

In general, it's a good place to relax, to learn about different species and habitats and to spend a good time; it doesn't matter if you're with your partner, kids, family, friends or even alone. You will love it.

“Best in Lisbon”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2012

The Ocenario is the best place to see in Lisbon.
Not the best in Europe but has a lot of specialties.
In there you can sea all the ocean animals and watch documentaries about the Oceanrio and how it is being operated.
