“Better than anticipated”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2013

I really enjoyed the views at this castle. It is bigger and better than the reviews I read. It is well preserved and clean. Also, located in the middle of everything. You can take a cab to the castle and then walk down to the center of town.

“Great Castle with nice views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2013

It was the first place where a ticket for 2 adults with 2 kids was CHEAPER than a ticket for two :)
This is a great idea and would love to see such promotions in more places. The castle is well preserved, has really nice views over the older parts of Lisbon. When going up the hill you will pass by the famous Urinols. It tends to be crowded in the weekends, so be aware as you might be stuck waiting for tickets.

“Lovely Gardens”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2013

We paid €7,5 for one adult and €4 for one student. The major attraction of the castle are the beautiful gardens, hidden corners and the views it offers from Lisbon. The museum was not exceptional, and the restaurant looked nice but expensive.

“Expensive, not sure if worth it.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2013

Large queues to buy a ticket, get there early. High prices for what it is - €12!
Good views across the town, nice little museum, the rebuilt, open-to-the-air castle walls good for a quick walk around.

“CASTELO BONITO”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2013

A National Treasure, well preserved castle in Lisbon. Great views. Big birds in the premises.
Unless you are a top athlete do not attempt to walk up the hill. A bus or a Taxi can take you
up there for a reasonable fee. If you enjoy views be aware of the weather conditions before
your trip.
