This restaurant is fantastic. They can only seat about 12-15 people and seemingly only do one cover per night. There is quite simply no rush, no bother.
You need to book. If you don't you will not get a table but the waiter will [very politely] offer to book you in for the next day or later in the week.
The waiter is, like a lot of the reviews here say, very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine. Both are short menus and are cooked by his partner/boss/friend in a small kitchen. I had roast pork and my partner had curried fish. The starter and couvert were incredible - very much worth paying for unlike some we've had in Lisbon.
This was one of the only meals I have ever eaten when the chef comes out of the kitchen at the right time and genuinely asks how everything is. This is obviously only possible as they only cook for 12 and there was a brief moment of respite in the kitchen.
We will probably go again on our last day (today) as it was so good. This place really deserves its high rating for its food and the incredibly high standard of the service.
