This restaurant was recommended by Clarion Suites Hotel for our party of 8 mature ladies. Every one of us loved it. We have all done a lot of travelling and really appreciated the food and atmosphere of this place. Yes, the waiters are very attentive, but we did not find them intrusive. The decor is delightful, with pretty Portuguese tiles and the place was a good size, not too big or small. The menu was very good as was the choice of wines. We were not pressured into any expensive wines and we were aware that the little nibbles on the table would be included in the bill. We ate there on two nights and only met tourists on one night. To us, it was a lovely little neighbourhood restaurant. True, it isn't cheap , but it certainly wasn't expensive. We would most definitely go there again.

The restaurant was recommended by the Clarion Suites Hotel staff as traditional portugese restraurants nearby, ideal with kids. While the food was ok, nothing exceptional, there were no kids menus, hefty cover charges and a restaurant filling up with tourists during the evening. Staff was very friendly though. We ended up with quite a non-traditional bill that reminded us rather of Switzerland than Portgual.

This is a very welcoming, traditional Portuguese eatery, somewhat old-fashioned but homely, with pretty tiles. We made the mistake of booking early, which meant we were alone in the restaurant, and our table was already lain with cheeses, breads, cold meats and olives- remember that what you eat from an already lain table is chargeable, and it is difficult to resist picking while you wait for your main course. So that when our large sea-food cataplana arrived, we already had lost our appetite ! But the seafood/fish dish was beautiful, a great assortment of fish and shellfish , tender sweet and delicious. One of us had the Bacalhao Delfim, which was deemed to be an oily salty disappointment. Apparently there are 100 ways to cook Bacalhao, but this isn't one of them! But that meant that there was one extra mouth to help make a dent in the huge sea-food dish, which really was the star of the night. We also tried a selection of deserts, but really should have stuck with the excellent coffee. Unless you have a very very sweet tooth, Portuguese deserts are way too much. Do be careful with your offered starters as this can really rack up the bill, and choose wines carefully, a good house wine should not be expensive in Portugal. But somehow we managed to spend about 45 euros a head on what was simple traditional cooking. My advice to the restaurant is not to try to force or suggest extras on customers, and get that bacalhao recipe right! Having said all that, the service was friendly and welcoming, and it's very convenient for hotels in the area.

Sent there by our Sheraton Lisboa hotel and it was a complete tourist trap. Waiter overly pandered to us the whole time, it was sickening. Got tricked into an overly expensive bottle of wine that we thought was 30 euro less than it was! Got the mixed fish grill and it wasn't very good. Thought our waiter was nice and brought 'complementary' liquor at the end but they charged us for it! Hotel told us it would be about 20 euro per person and it was wayyyyyy more. Don't get tricked into going there.

We asked our Sheraton Lisboa concierge to book us an authentic portugese restaurant so we could experience a cataplana dinner. We were treated like a king and queen upon entering (thanks to reference and booking from hotel concierge) and had a cataplana for two. It was exactly the atmosphere and quality we wanted. Service was friendly and we were visited by the owner 2 or 3 times to ensure all was okay. By the time we were eating, the room was full and people waiting outside to get in - a good sign of a good restaurant. I would never find it on my own, so the 6Euro taxi from our hotel was well worth it. I would go back on our next visit to Lisbon.
