This is a typical Cervejaria, beer hall, but also a place to enjoy seafood and a good wine.
The staff, a team of a little bit older gentleman, have been the same for several years and make an excellent job. The food perfect, I had a large piece of grilled swordfish and a nice red housewine. the guests is a mixture of tourists and local people.

This was our first meal in Lisbon - and it was fantastic. In fact we are going back tonight just for the cream of seafood soup :-) It is a buzzy, local place with friendly waiters and great atmosphere right on the main boulevard. We had a great and cheap bottle of the house white wine, the seafood soup to start and fried fish fillet with rice and bean and mixed grilled fish. Large portions! Our bill was less than 40 Euros and we ate well. Good value.

We ate lunch in this quiet Portugese restaurant along the Avenida Libertade, which served succulent raw oysters. We also tried their grilled shrimps and the octopus salad and the very yummy bacalao. They also served some hot seafood soup with rice, which was a complete meal in itself. The service was a bit slow, but it was worth the wait. The waiters wanted to converse, however their limited command of the English language was very evident that it was just replaced with a wide grin.

Very fun outdoor seating on this important Lisbon street. Great watching the people walk by. The food was good and the service prompt.
