My boyfriend and I visited after wandering around Castelo Sao Jorge for a few hours and were well in need of food and drink. The bar was listed in our guide as a top place to go so we made our way there. Upon arrival we were asked about what kind of wines we usually drank and then the gentlemen went and brought 3 different wines to the table, described the grapes and taste of each one and left us a a bit to try of each before picking our wine. Once we had decided he poured us a generous glass of our chosen tipple and soon brought over the bread, wine, cheese and ham (small platter) we had ordered. I tell you what, if this was a small platter I would hate to see a big one, there was loads on the plate. He explained all the different types of cheese and meat and left us to feast upon it. The olives were delicious and the marinade they were in was to die for, great bread, lovely variety of cheese and tasty meat. So reasonably priced too! We absoloutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone in the area, it's worth climbing the hill/riding the deathly tram 28 for!
