“Very good and creative museum”
Reviewed August 22, 2013 via mobile

I thought it would be a boring museum, but was a surprising one. The visit is free and there is a guide entering every hour. They are very captive and patient. There is a hystorical part and a interactive one...teaching the danger and the fun brought by eletricity. One of the best museuns in lisbon. Much better than some expensive palaces.

“Best technical museum i have visited so far”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

Exibit starts with process explanation and it takes you throug all the steps and through (literally) all machines and processes. You enter owens, see animations, explanations, technical and historical data! At the end you have a playground with experiments!
I expected much, but was surprised and overwhelmed nevertheless.

“Fascinating for anyone with an interest in science or electricity”
Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

This museum is facinating. It includes a variety of exhibits including orginal coal fired boilers that you can walk through the middle of, and a variety of interactive exhibits to demonstrate electricity and its effects. There is also plenty of power station history information and exhibits too. Narration on information videos available in English and Portuguese. Free entry on Sundays. Well worth a visit

“Excellent for electrical nerds!”
Reviewed July 27, 2013 via mobile

Really well preserved electricity power station used from the mid 30s to early 70s. Really informative with coverage of the history of electricity. Also has cool experiments for kids and uninformed adults to learn about electricity! Well worth the visit! It's free and has a cafe with beer and wine. What else could you ask for after an intense lesson in science?

“Good Visit”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

We had a cloudy day so decided to pay a visit to this museum in Belem. It is free to visit. As my husband is an engineer he really enjoyed it and I found that the exhibits are easy to understand and it is very well set up. Most of the displays are in English too. Worth a visit
