We enjoyed a delicious meal from traditional portuguese dishes to sofisticated fusion cuisine ones. The staff is friendly and close and makes the stay enjoyable. Fully recommend place to stop after or before your tour on belem

“Fun food experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I went here for Valentine's day and has a fabulous lunch. I started with chestnut soup with mushrooms; which was fabulous! For my main course I had cod fish with turnips and garlic potatoes; delicious combination. They recommended the red wine from the Duro Valley region which was fantastic. If you would like to pick your own wine you get binoculars to read the wine labels on the shelf! So much fun! Looking forward to going there again.

“nice find, nice experience.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 13, 2013

After a great day in belem (monastry, tower botanic gardens and a lot of walking) we found (in a little alley along the main street) this nice restaurant. Friendly and service, good wine and food in a nice, modern atmosphere (cosy restaurants are hard to find in bélém i think). well we had a ball, hope you'll feel the same. ( for sparkling wine, split dish lobster/fresh pasta and octopus, bottle wine and coffee for 2 we paid 64€).

“Great place if wine is your thing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2013

A mix of a restaurant and wine bar. Food is good, but not better than other (good) places in Lisbon. Great wine list, with a standard price of €5/glass or €20/botle. Some v goodPortuguese wines in the list, especially from "non-Douro" regions. Great place, highly recommended.

“Yummy with friendly service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

Just two streets down from Pasteis de Belem (and you know you're going there) this is a cozy spot with a really friendly proprietor and a great selection of wines.

Each glass is 4 EUR and a bottle is 20 EUR. A wall is lined with wine and the menu is a pair of binoculars. The chestnut soup is awesome, as is the fresh pasta and lobster plus the venison with porcini risotto. We enjoyed 2 bottles and spent a long time at the restaurant without feeling rushed to leave.

Definitely a gem if you're in Belem!
