We had a great time at Salgadeiras. We were served bread and delicious Iberico ham, garlic butter, tuna spread, olives with beautiful dry white porto, followed by cod tartare. Our waiter was Bruno F. He recommended a very nice red wine from the southern region of Portugal when we said we did not like fruity, full bodied wine. It was just perfect. We ordered couple of the cod dishes, steak and shrimp stragonoff. All were bery tasty and we finished up with chocolate souffle with grappa. We loved the ambiance, the service and whatever we ate. Salgadeiras is a gem in Lisbon, displaying Portuguese hospitality and delish! We are pleasantly surprised that fine dining is possible in an alley when you least expect in Lisbon.
