We visited Lisbon for a long weekend and stumbled across this great restaurant not far from our hotel. It looked intimate and authentic and we were not disappointed. The menu was quirky and interesting but the food was fantastic with good Portugese wine, all served by a knowledgable team. Cristina came out to check on our excellent cataplana for 2 and was very friendly and welcoming - she ensured all of her guests were made to feel equally special. We rarely bother with dessert but thoroughly enjoyed a home made fig cake and some fresh pineapple. Thank you for a fabulous meal and a lovely evening. If we make it back to Lisbon we will certainly visit Madragoa cafe.
