Description: This is a really cool little find; very easy to walk past. Bistro/cafe with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Healthy menu, and decent prices too.

A very nice spot for lunch. Sweet waiters and great food. Also a small yard for sitting during summer. We tried the tzatiki hamburger, which didn't disappoint!

I'm here again at the Royale Cafe in the moment. It's a terrible noisy place, the cutlery shaking and beating all the time. We came here to spend the afternoon but is absolutely impossible to face this loudness, a lack of respect with the consumer. The fud is not that great, the personnel is missing ours orders and let us here sited without assistance.
It's hard to see this place as a good one in Lisbon.

Quaint little cafe tucked away in Bairo Alto ... lovely little back patio is fantastic setting for lunch on a sunny day ... delicious food, loved the fact that they served Coca Cola in glass bottles ... great service.

Recommended by friends, we went there for lunch after a beautiful walk through Lisbon. The place was busy and we were a party of 9. The place is nice and cozy and has a small garden, which I am sure must be nice in the summer.
We ordered food and drinks, and then we started to wait and wait. Eventually we got drinks and 3 pita breads with baba ganoush to share. We had to ask 3 times to get more bread. Same thing with the drinks. It took ages to get the food and they forgot one dish, at the end the waiter confirmed with us if we got it and apologized. The2 burgers that had to come rare came well done.
The food itself was tasty, but some weird combinations. Salad (dried tomatoes, cheese, ham, spinach, salad and chocolate???), not my cup of tea. But left the chocolate out and was very tasty.

Because everything took so long and we had to ask several times for the same thing we did not go for the desserts or even coffee. The only thing that came real quickly was the bill.

Went here for a late breakfast/brunch - found the place nearly empty when we arrived but by the time we had finished our meals it had started to pick up. I ordered the Tzatziki burger, which came with a poached egg. The egg was pulled off perfectly, which I think is always a good measure of a breakfast place, and the burger was delicious. My guest ordered the steak sandwich, which proved to be tasty if somewhat bland and in need of extra garnishing (there was definitely some order envy going around the table)... Likewise, the scones with butter and jam we ordered afterwards were a bit of a letdown for the price. They arrived from the kitchen pre-cut, buttered and jammed and then stuck back together again like a jam sandwich - in other words, nothing special.

Overall I think we would try this place again because of its atmosphere and (some of) its menu, although you definitely need to know what to order.
