“Great staff”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

We stayed here for a week. I found our room a bit noisy, there are cars driving past all hours of the night. There is no air conditioning but we had a fan in the room. Breakfast was good, with warm tasty Portuguese buns. There is a grocery store right beside the hostel which was handy. There are a lot of common areas and a nice outdoor terrace. The staff were very kind and went the extra mile to help us out more than once. The hostel is in a good location. Lisbon is smaller than I expected and it's easy to walk from one district to another. The bus to Belem is across the street from the hostel and there are two metro stations nearby.

Stayed at this wonderful guesthouse/hostel for a week in January 2013 and have to say the whole experience was exemplary. I arrived from Faro to a friendly welcome, the girl spoke excellent English (as did all the front of house staff) and explained the security system and gave me a conducted tour of the premises. My room was lovely - spacious, sort of crescent-shaped on the corner of the building with a large, comfy double bed and spotlessly clean. A lot of the period features have been left in situ in this beautiful turn of the (last) century building which I found most attractive. The sitting area on my floor included a big, comfortable sofa and a flat screen TV where I spent most of Sunday morning watching a tennis match and a small balcony off that if you want to sit outside and have a drink/cigarette complete with its own very private toilet. Downstairs on the first floor was a well-equipped kitchen to cook your own meals with a fridge for storing perishables and there’s a large terrace directly off this which didn’t see much action – but it was January after all! And yes, you share toilets but that doesn’t worry me in the slightest as they were kept clean. All this came to a mere £21 per night for a single room which I think is an absolute bargain. The hostel is very central and only a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride to downtown Lisbon. Next year I hope to be back and shall certainly be booking up here as it was fabulous accommodation with friendly staff at such a good price. Lisbon is an amazingly unique city, a week just wasn’t enough.

lisbon dream guesthouse is so far the best hostel i've ever stayed. it was very clean (both roams and shared bathroams) , the staff was so helpful and the breakfast was cool. furthermore it's near the liberdade avenue, that means you can walk easily to everywhere or if you decide to use public transport you can find lots of bus stops near the hostel. while we stayed there was a winter promotion and we stayed for 10€ per night, and if i think quality and price together, that was a really bargain (: as a result i highly recommend lisbon dream guesthouse to those, who enjoys having quality service with a cheap price.

The guesthouse was just as indicated from the pictures and the place is always clean with a full kitchen, which we made use of :) The location is up the hill from the city center and it is totally walkable every day with good shoes as Lisbon has a enormous amounts of small undulating cobble stones. If you want to take the metro blue line, the stop is two blocks down hill and the stop at the yellow line is a bit more as it's uphill. The included breakfast is filling and healthy and the shared bathroom actually have hand towels for one time use, very sophisticated :) Overall, the place and staffs are exceptional, so thank you for making our first Lisbon trip that much more memorable.

They welcomed us with fresh apples on our beds which was very cute. The staff are very helpful and nice. The breakfast is perfect. The rooms are clean. The only thing is that the guesthouse is very very very quite so you have to keep it down in the common areas.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Lisbon Dreams. The rates were very reasonable for the excellent quality of the inn based on my criteria:Clean, Comfortable and Convenient.

Clean: The shared baths were modern and spotless with fresh hand towels replenished throughout the day. The Inn has wood floors throughout which I prefer over carpets.

Comfortable: The inn is furnished in IKEA style and the beds/linens were the most comfortable I've ever enjoyed. So comfortable I plan to buy the same bed for my home. The single room has a bed, chair and area to hang clothing - perfect for one person. The Common areas had cosy couches and access to a laptop. Good wifi throughout the house.

Convenient: The Guesthouse is a 15 minute walk from Bario Alto, Baxia and Chaido. The Metro is a few blocks away.

The staff was flexible in accommodating changes to my travel plans. They spoke excellent English and were a great resource for my daily plans. Breakfast was simple and satisfying continental with bread, cheese and meat. Fridge available to guests. If you get up early you can enjoy the chocolate pastries warm....yum.

Check out Real Fabrica for dinner nearby and Casa Da India ( No English on the menu - a plus for me and filled with locals) on Rua Do Loreto for great grilled seafood, chicken and beef. Also, skip the Hop On Hop Off and take an excellent walking tour of Lisbon with Nuno at Lisbon Spirit.

We stayed in this hotel one night (17th November 2012) and we are really impressed of the Lisbon Dreams Guesthouse hospitality. The stuff was wery friendly and helpful. Room was clean, light and cozy. It had a gate to the shared terrace.
The only disadvantage: rooms in this hotel have no bathroom, but they offer shared bathrooms (several on the flour). The bathrooms were clean and spacious. There were shared kitchen (with all necessary stuff), dining room and living room.
Location is really convenient: 20 minutes walk to the downtown or 8 minutes walk to the metro station.
The hotel offers taxi vouchers: 13 euro for the trip to the airport.
