This place has it all. Helpful, friendly staff, central location, lots of amenities such as a laptop to borrow, fantastic breakfast. There are common rooms on each floor with a TV. The place is bright and cheery, and the rooms and bathrooms are, nice clean, and modern. I Highly recommend this place!

We stayed in Lisbon Dreams over the weekend and we thought it was really a good choice. The guesthouse is located a bit outside of the old Lisbon, but within a walking distance. There are some nice places around - like Estrela square. There are plenty of inexpensive restaurants around and I can confirm that they serve really good simple food. Fish and steamed vegetables, wine, some sweets. Nice and simple.

Regarding the guesthouse - the staff is very helpful and kind, the rooms are clean and comfortable but just a bit small. There is a nicely set common area, kitchen, balcony. There are apples, some bread rolls and coffee / tea available so you can grab a small snack when you're hungry.
The bathrooms are common but is is not a big problem, especially that they are always clean :) And you get a big bath robe, so you can walk around freely :)

The only minus is the breakfast - they could do a little more effort by serving a real orange juice, better quality yoghurt and maybe few more fruits and straight the effect would be much better.

Still, I strongly recommend this place.

Stayed here for a week in September 2012. Lived up to the great reviews on tripadvisor. Great central location at a very affordable price. For this price its definitely preferable to stay in a traditional building like this with individual character than a budget hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful and offer to map out for you where to go on your trip, and sell vouchers for the bus tours. The shared kitchen is really handy for preparing snacks and keeping drinks in the fridge which can be eaten in the dining area indoors or outside on terrace. Has a really homely feel. Free wi-fi in the downstairs lounge was handy with comfy sofas on both floors to chill out on an watch tv/read. The shared bathrooms are spotless and were always available (3 on top floor where we stayed). All the people we met staying at the hotel were really friendly and its great to have glass of wine on the terrace at night before heading out and chatting to the other people from around the world. The staff also arranged a taxi to the airport for us for 13 euros for an early flight. Would definitely stay there again if we head back to Lisbon in the future.

Room simple, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is always the same, but it is complete: there is the possibility to choose sweets or salt food. The reception team is really kind and available to help you with information e suggestions. Bathroom extremely clean. I don't give five stars because of the rooms to close to the bathroom: it means sometimes to hear noise from the door's key. Take care it is not so easy to find the guesthouse because the stree is diveded in two partition.
Finally I suggest this accomodation and if I come back to Lisboa I will choose it again.

I only stayed one night, but this place was nice. Its one floor of an apartment or business building on Rua Rodrigo da Fonseca, that has been converted to a guest house. Just off the main street of Rua Alexandre Herculano and a 5-10 minute walk to the Rato Metro station. Its about a 10-20 minute walk to the Bario Alto after you figure out the short way.

Clean and minimally furnished, the bed/bedding was great. The small room i had could have used a desk or dresser for a longer stay. A few of the rooms open out to the patio with french doors that can be left partially open for fresh air, with a safety latch to prevent unwanted entry. This is notable as there is no Air conditioning, and no other windows to open. The other rooms have windows that can be opened to the street (but a bit noisier).

The patio is nice with some chairs and tables, and it opens to the sky, but otherwise its enclosed by the buildings.

There is a TV area with a nice comfy couch and ~27" TV. There was also a laptop in this area that could be used by guests. Another laptop was in the office.

Stayed here for a few days as the first stage of our backpacking honeymoon. Room clean with very comfortable bed. Shared bathrooms but kept clean. Relatively simple breakfast - no hot food but decent enough. All in all a great place to stay with very friendly staff and convenient for exploring Lisbon

This B&B is located on a rather busy street, there's no airco and the bathrooms are shared. But these are only minor inconveniences for us, we had a great stay here: spacious and clean rooms in white and crisp colors, clean bathrooms, outside patios where one can have a little rest, very friendly staff, a good self service breakfast and free use of the kitchen, and a stable wifi connection. To ease the discomfort of walking to the shared bathrooms, a soft bathrobe and slippers are waiting for you in your room.
