The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was served in the 7th floor and there was apportunity to eat outdoors, which was great. The breakfast was good and it was included in the price of room. The only negative matter is that the hotel was a little bit noisy. You could hear everything what was happening on the next room or in the corridors.

We have chosen Hotel DAH because of price but it turned out to be a rather interesting choice. The hotel is not close to the city centre so daily metro rides necessary. It is located in a residential area. Since we stayed there for 5 nights we got plenty of time to explore the nearby areas in order to learn about living in Lisbon. We found these exploring more interesting than visiting those typical tourist attractions.

Rooms are not big but well kept. Breakfast very good and served in a comfortable area. Double-pane windows so really quiet. Front desk people extremely helpful. A very pleasant stay. Great value.

DAH is between two metro stations. We got off at Olaias to return to the hotel and headed for Alameda when leaving. This is important as the path from Alameda to the hotel is a really steep climb.

About 30 min train to the train station to exit. About 7 minutes to walk to the hotel from station. Price was good to me. Room was slightly small but it did the job for me. TV was 32" wall mount (not too important since I was rarely in the room but sleep and shower) Breakfast room was on the rooftop so that was cool. About 10 min walk to the station to go towards downtown. Train ride to downtown was about 30 min. I could have find a closer hotel but I decided to stay out of the city and live cheaper. The park that you will walk past to go towards downtown was pretty cool.

After reading some of the reviews on trip advisor I was slightly apprehensive about our stay, albeit only for one night.

We arrived after driving from the Algarve to a wonderful friendly welcome and we were directed to our room on the 5th floor.

We were allocated a family room and it was large with a sizeable balcony looking down towards the heart of Lisbon. The decor was fresh and tasteful and provided a very comfortable stay.

Location-wise the hotel is great. When we arrived we initially walked into the City Centre and back (bad move), not realising how efficient the Metro was. You can walk to the nearest station within five minutes of the hotel and from here you can travel cheaply and quickly.

If you're travelling to Lisbon please look Hotel Dah up - you won't be disappointed.

Most of the reviews of this hotel are spot on. It's located between Olaias and Alameda metro stations. From Alameda it's a short but steep walk up the hill. From Olaias it's slightly longer, and you have to cross a major roundabout, but the slope is gentle and easier if you're dragging luggage. Otherwise it's actually not far to the airport and a taxi can't cost too much. It's about 20 mins to the Rossio station, including waiting for the Metro, which runs less frequently than the systems in, say, London or New York City (Lisbon is a lot smaller...).

Rooms are clean and comfortable, with good wifi and a hit shower which does occasionally leak onto the bathroom floor. The rooms also seem to be very quiet, no noise from inside or outside the hotel.

The breakfast buffet is a bargain, very filling and ample along the lines of a Hampton Inn or similar. Views from the terrace are great, and it's a sunny place to eat breakfast.

The price of this hotel was about half of the cost of similar hotels closer to the centre of town, it's great value and to be recommended.

Convenient location with walking distance to several metro stations. There is a 24h mini market nearby and good pizzeria Pepe and Oliva across the street. The breakfast is basic with scrambled eggs, sausages, ham, cheese, bread, cookies and croissants, muesli, fruit salad, some vegetables, coffee and tea. There is a elevator in the building, a very funny one. The shower leaks on the floor. But the bathroom is clean. There is no mini bar in the room. The hotel offers 24h room service with very simple menu.

Comfortable, friendly and clean. Only down side, in the corridor and in my room, occasionally I could smell cigarette smoke. There is supposed to be no smoking policy and penalty if people smoke in the rooms. I have never smoked and this made it less pleasant than it could have been, for me.
