The pros - The manager greeted us with helpful hints and recommendations. The apartment was close to the Metro Green Line. The cons - 1) limited instructions as to how to function within the apartment, i.e. shower, 2) ant problem - in the dining area and large bedroom, 3) insufficient heating and cooling, 4) insufficient lighting in the stairway leading up the stairs, to the front door, and in the bedrooms, 5) water leaked from the ceiling in the dining area (we were unable to ascertain the cause) and 6) most importantly, the apartment is on the 3rd floor (in Europe the floors start at 0) which means this is basically 6 sets of stairs to reach the apartment (which was exhausting). If you are young, physically fit, and on a limited budget, feel free to give this a try, otherwise, I would search for alternate lodging.
I fell in love with this peaceful and pretty apartment in the centre of Lisbon. The rooms are bright and airy, and the place has real character. The owners have obviously put a lot of love into making the place feel like home. The gorgeous photos on the walls (hence the name of the apartment) and quirky bits of decor are a lovely touch too.
The facilities are excellent. A decent sized kitchen, bathroom with a bath and shower, and a sunny dining area which is lovely to sit in and have breakfast in the morning. There's also an ace work space on the top floor.
There's a station nearby to get you places, and plenty of shops in the area (including an excellent pasty shop, which I may have been to more than once).
All in all it's a fabulous place to spend time in. Lisbon is a fabulous city too so you get the best of both worlds. I'll definitely stay again next time I'm in Lisbon. All positives on no negatives (puns!) for this lovely place to stay. Give it a shot.
The apartment is spacious, light and furnished as well as decorated beautifully. It is close to the underground station (Alameda) and a shopping street with retail shops and supermarkets is nearby.
A beautiful flat filled with warmth and character that felt like a home away from home. It's central with great connections to the airport and across the city. The neighbourhood is peaceful with some great places for a fresh Portuguese breakfast nearby and Ana has the best recommendations!! So make sure you take note :)
This was a great place to stay, so much bigger than I though. It had a very cool style and personality to it. Lots of time was just spent chilling in the rooms between being a city tourist and passing an evening away. The location was lovely, very close pastry shops, ha, and a short walk to the tube system. The whole area has so much personality about it. I will be returning next year.
We stayed in this wonderful place for one week and we enjoyed every single day! The apartment is a warm and lovely place where we felt home from the first second - a perfect place to rest after a busy day in lively lisbon. And though is really close to the center (aprox 15 to 20 mins by subway/metro/tube), it is very quiet and save neighborhood. Just perfect. We re looking for coming back!
