Tings Lisbon definitely has some of the nicest staff we’ve ever dealt with and some of the most wonderful rooms we’ve ever stayed in. The complimentary breakfast is super fresh and served with a smile. The owners and staff should be very proud of the work they put in as the garden and rooms are kept very tidy. Overall a wonderful experience and if we visit Lisbon again we will most definitely be back.

I had 4 wonderfull days at Tings in Lisbon. I had a room on top of the hotel with the most fantastic view over the city.
The room was minimalistic with all that I needed. I had access to a terrace and a full kitchen (fridge, oven, cooker, cutlery) so if you want to try cooking then you can. You can find ingrediences nearby. You can dine in the hotel garden as well and you find very good places to eat out. The hotel staff will be happy to help you.
The hotel is placed 100 m close to highest viewpoint in Lisbon and close to other gardens with views where locals gather during the Day for a Coffee or a beer.
Local transport is easy and inexpensive in Lisbon. Buy i Viva card from one of the vending machines e.g. in the airport, load the card with a few euros and you have access to busses, trams, escalators, trains (to Cascais pr Sintra). Tram 28 starts close to Tings.
Anyway, you can always ask hotel staff for advice.

Lovely hosts there always are helpfull and willing to give you sine tips for Lissabon. Delicious breakfast - fantastisk garden to enjoy the view with a beer or a glas of win. Clean and nice room and happy staff. Close to the huggede viewpoint, while only 15-20 minuts walk to the City :)
Tings Lisbon surely is the best one-star hotels in Lisbon. We were greeted by the owner upon our arrival (10am). We were only hoping to drop our bags and to have a coffee before we will be able to check in.
Not only we had a coffee but we were given a tour and had a chance to pick our room in the category we have reserved via email. We picked a terrace lounge room, which was spacious and has great views. Right next to the room is a small kitchen equipped with 2 burners, fridge and kitchen utensils. We did not use the kitchen much as the breakfast was included in a room price and dinner was available in the small restaurant on the ground floor. (the restaurant is being run as an independent establishment).
There was no wardrobe in the room, you can hang your clothes on the provided hangers on a designer hanger/lamp or use the chest drawers.
Tings is a great option if you don't like traditional hotels and looking for a friendly and relaxed experience with some cool designs in the rooms and common areas.
I would surely come back.
This is a brilliant small hotel, high on a hill overlooking the city. Not easy to walk to but public transport takes you close, including the fantastic Tram 28. Tings is beautifully refurbished, comfortable, clean, friendly and cool without being uber-trendy. Wonderful gardens with rooftop views, gorgeous cotton bed linen, delicious breakfast and very helpful staff make for an ideal stay in Lisbon. (The house kittens are an added bonus!) Plenty of good bars & cafés nearby and easy to reach all the sights of the city at a reasonable cost. I would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.
At the airport, take the metro to Martim Moniz, then take the mini bus parked at the stop about 10 m away with the tram and it will take you near to the hotel, about 200 me up the slope. Room is lovely and cosy/small. No TV though wi-fi supposedly is strong enough for some serious film streaming. Soap in the bathroom is supposedly Nepalese organic but really rough to feel. Woke up at 6.30 in the morning by the clanking of some metal stuff and someone calling for the two cats and constant banging of doors and stomping of steps on the stairs, probably inconsiderate guests. Staff was very friendly and breakfast a lovely touch with freshly squeezed orange juice and bacon and eggs fried on request.
