Squeaky beds, bathroom drains clogged with hair, unhelpful staff, dirty, strange atmosphere.

I travel internationally often and always stay in hostels. Good Night Hostel was by far one of the worst.
The Hostel is in a run down house in a touristy part of the city. The entire place is dirty. The walls are covered in kitsch. felt dirty. The mattresses feel about 30 years old with uncomfortable springs. The bed frames creaked all night as everyone tossed and turned trying to get comfortable. There was one outlet in my room, making it impossible to charge my camera battery and phone. And oh yeah I woke up COVERED IN STRANGE BUG BITES.

Also MY PASSPORT WENT MISSING, I may have lost it, but that seems unlikely as I have been around the world with it since 2006 and have always been careful. Regardless of weather it was lost or stollen I found the hostel staff unhelpful in such a stressful situation.
DONT STAY HERE. There are tons of better hostels in Lisbon.

Staff friendly and helpful, great location for walking, bus, trams. Common area great and kitchen well kept with big stove top but no oven, wifi good, made us very welcome over Christmas week, no lift but you get used to stairs after first luggage haul. Would stay again for sure.

This was one of the greatest hostel I ever stayed. The staff was simply incredible, they answered everything we asked giving us helpful info. The decoration was great too.
The only thing I observed, is that it could be a little cleaner, our room wasn't cleaned a single day, which wasn't a problem since we're in a private one. generally speaking it was very clean, including the bathrooms that were spoteless.
They serve a simple, but good, breakfast in the morning, with pancake, bread, cheese, corn flakes and fresh juice which was really helpful for our savings.
The location was excelent, we could walk everywhere!

Room Tip: The higher the better, as in the first floor you can here people on the common area

This hostel is really nice if you like to hear drunk germans partying all night long and shower in the dark. Really bad isolation. Manager's not able to do anything about the noise of other residents despite us complaining around 5 times in 3 hours. Hostel is really cheap but it is its only quality.

Clean rooms, cute decorating, great kitchen and pancake breakfast!

Unfortunately only one of the showers was working on our floor and the other showers were small and poorly lit.

The rooms are small and stuffy, the lockers are good however.

We had booked for 3 nights and on the third arrived back at the hostel to find other people in our beds and in our room. Following instructions from a note telling us to go to reception we were told with little apology that we had been moved due to a large group booking. We were not informed of this at check in and upon expressing our concern and dissapointment that people had been let into our room where all our belongings were, were told there was nothing that could be done and management did not want to help solve the situation.

A situation that could have been avoided was poorly handled and really put a dampner on our stay. Staff weren't able to help in anyway. With the quality of hostels in Lisbon you'd be better off spending your money with a business that understands customer service....
