This restaurant is located in the Parque das Nacões where the Expo 98 took place and today is a whole new and modern part of Lisbon. The area is crowded with restaurants but many of them are fairly average. Senhor Peixe is an exception. The place always attracts a large crowd of locals which is a good sign, and unlike many of the other cheaper restaurants where there are mostly tourists.
In Senhor Peixe they have a wide variety of fresh fish where you choose the one to your liking at the counter. On this occasion we had the Dorada which was cooked to perfection and a proof of of how tasty fish can be when grilled by a seasoned Portuguese cook. The waiters are friendly and quick and the place has a lively atmosphere in additon to good food.
The restaurant is a bit more expensive than many of the surrounding restaurants, but again fresh and wild (not farmed) fish is fairly expensive these days and here you get quality at a price which by most european standards is still reasonable. A good place to visit after a stroll along the riverside.
