Excellent food, excellent service (slightly pricey)..well worth it for a wonderful meal! The lamb I had was falling off the bone it was so tender and nothing we asked for was considered a problem! Higly recommend!

“Could be much better”
Reviewed July 15, 2014 via mobile

Celebrated our birthdays. The restaurant is nice but far too packed. Too many tables. A few things went wrong because they all were overstrained service and kitchen. Several times they came into the sorry situation and it seems they are well trained in that. I prefere quality before quantity. Would not go back again.

“Modern in a very old setting”
Reviewed July 14, 2014 via mobile

We visited on a Sunday night. The restaurant is broken up into rooms on 2 floors, modern furnishings and fixtures in an old space. The food was excellent, we had mussels for an appetizer, and the pork and lamb for entrees. All were excellent. The waiter suggested red wine which was also good and well suited for the meal. The service was only average but the food and atmosphere make it well worth it. Prices were fair and portions ample.

“Superb food, average service”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

The interior design of this restaurant is modern, and the seating is broken into several different 'rooms', with a bar near the entrance and a wine cellar adjacent to the last of the 'rooms', which is where we ate.

We were shown to a table in the centre of the room which we thought was a little exposed, but were unable to change to another table. I'm not sure if this was because the other tables were reserved (as they certainly filled up from 8pm), however, this wasn't explained to us which left us feeling a little non-plussed.

Whilst the food was excellent and the best we ate on our 4 nights in Lisbon, the overall service could've been slightly more polished. My lamb was an excellent cut and perfectly cooked, with beautiful smashed potatoes and perfectly cooked (and interesting) vegetables. As the restaurant filled up, the atmosphere improved and service also improved which was pleasing.

Other diners appeared to be a mixture of locals, visiting business people and more experienced tourists, which made for interesting people watching!
