Stayed in this hotel in early february, and really enjoyed it, except for a few things : first it is not a 5 nor 4 stars, probably 3 and half, but staff is really impressive and make you feel like in a palace. For the not-so-good details, location is not at all impressive, quite far from the main avenue and amm the fancy hotels/shops/restaurants (they remain accessible by feet). Lifts are ridiculously shabby.. rooms are large, rather well furnished with again few bad points : old accessories (worn-out tea boiler, old shower (which is just in front of bed and with a semi-transparent door, who have designed these rooms ))). I was there during a storm, and the window wasnt shutting properly, so the wind was howling all night (and day) through the unadjusted space.. Another "plus" is the excellent cafetaria where you can enjoy Belem pastries. I would not return to this hotel, unless I find a very good bargain.

Room Tip: street side is noisy

Within walking distance to most of the city. The hotel is very modern with all the facilities you would need and staff are very helpful. Didn't eat in the hotel as we were only there for a short break and there are too many places to see in Lisbon but a good hotel for a city break or business stay.

Good location, nice surroundings..Not a 5 star hotel.. i would say 4 tops. Poor reception, nice decoration, poor breakfast offer. Amazing room with a bad view. Concierge service with low interest on finding solutions for the guests...

Room Tip: Rooms with a view to the castle are better

Well positioned hotel about 15 minute walk from the centre of Lisbon in the Commercial district. Whilst there aren't lots of bars and restaurants around there are a few. Our room on the 5th floor was great with a huge bed and nice bathroom with a separate tub and shower. There was occasionally a smell of drains coming from the bathroom and the poor shower design meant the water never totally drained away from the floor. Breakfast was good, although there was a very limited choice of hot food and it never varied, nor did the cold selection. I would expect a 5 star hotel to be able to deliver English breakfast tea at breakfast but this seemed beyond the breakfast staff and when a tea bag eventually arrived I had to get milk from the cereal milk jug. It's small things like this that make the difference between a 4 and 5 tar hotel. Having said thiswe didn't pay a 5 star price so for what we paid it was good value.
With respect to Lisbon generally, I'd suggest you wear sensible shoe as the cobbles are hard work on your feet, public transport is good if you're not keen on walking far. The no 28 or 12 trams take you on agood sightseeing tour above Alfama for the price of a single ride. There are several viewpoints with restaurants on the route up just beyond the cathedral.

Room Tip: There are apparently good views from one side of the hotel, we asked for one but didn'tget one

This hotel is extremely clean, well proportioned rooms, excellent and extremely helpful staff. Located just off the main avenue, if you like shopping for the expensive labels, you've found your dream location!! Easy walking to the centre of all attractions, although Metro is close by if you need it. Plenty of great places to eat, that are also supported by recommendations via trip advisor.

Room Tip: Apparently all rooms are the same size!!

I stayed here with a friend for four nights and would definitely return if visiting Lisbon.
All the staff were really helpful, friendly and chatty at all times. Both rooms were of a similar size with large double beds. There was plenty of room to 'live' in the room and be comfortable if spending any time in there. Bathrooms were well equipped, although I preferred my friend's arrangement of separate shower and bath to my combined one. The decor is all contemporary and one point of note is that some might find the bathroom doors a bit heavy. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided though on one evening we wanted top spend time downstairs when we got back and the staff gave us drinks there. The bar was quiet on most evenings.
Location wise the hotel is between two metro stations. We used Avenida most - take the Rua Do salitre exit and take the road with the fish restaurant on the corner and the hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from here though as others mention it is uphill and not very even if taking cases so take the longer way round and add a few minutes. Without cases it isn't too bad for most
We didn't find many recommended restaurants near to the hotel but everywhere can easily be got to either using the metro or taxis which we found relatively cheap.
We didn't eat at the restaurant or use the gym.
Highly recommend this hotel and commend all the staff

Room Tip: Probably need to get a high floor room to get a decent view

Do not hesitate to make a booking at this splendid hotel. We had a fantastic four days here and couldnt find a single fault with the place. I think it was the quietest hotel i have ever stayed at...!!!! no corridor noise, no noisy lifts, no banging doors. Great location near to two metro stations. Lots of places nearby to eat and drink. Really nice place.
