Excellent hotel located in the center of Lisbon. The hotel is located on a hill side area but at 5 minutes walk from the city center. The area is very tranquil and quite , besides very safe (although this is a very safe city). In general, the hotel is spacious, clean, with an excellent multilingual staff that were always there to help you. We booked a suite with a city view and I can tell that this has been one of the most beautiful and true "city view" a hotel can offer. The room service was far too good and the quality of the food was also beyond expectations. The manners and education of the staff is something that I need to stand for. Any minor problem we had, it was solved without hesitation. The cleaning and maid service deserve also a recognition. As a vivid traveler I can tell that this has been one of the most memorable hotel experiences I ever had.

Room Tip: Book a suite with a city view.

The hotel is clean and in a great location. The staff was good at providing information, but directed us to "restaurant row" for dinner - which is a big tourist trap, so that was dissappointing. The internet was down much of the time. When you select a hotel in part because it offers free wi-fi, the internet being down for extended periods is a significant problem, and in this day and age is unacceptable for an international-tyle hotel which charges relatively high prices. Coffee and breakfast are very pricy.

Me and my wife loved spending time here during our honeymoon. The room was great, but the view out of our window wasn't the best.

The staff couldn't of been more helpful, they helped with directions and gave advice on what to do in Lisbon. They even booked our bus to Lagos. I highly recommend staying as this hotel for people visiting Lisbon for their first time. They made everything so easy...

Room Tip: We had a lower level room. Higher rooms will have a better view.

I arrive after a bad travel experience (delayed flight, lost luggage) to the hotel, just to hear that they had changed my reservation to another hotel due to overbooking. I did not accept it and they found a room for on the 1st floor of the building. Reception staff was polite and professional, except one clause = "I didn't wait you to be so non-cooperative".
The room itself was nice, big and clean. However, I prefer more light. The whole interior has been designed by somebody, for whom the artistic side is more important than the practical issues. The view from window was quite depressing. There were lot of garbage on the roof between 1st and 0 floor. Closest to my room was a used sock.
Bathroom was big, but it didn't have any other toiletries than shampoo and shower gel. And the water pressure in shower was very weak in the morning.
The cleaning lady came in with her own key without knocking the door, which I think is not very polite.
Minibar was priced nicely compared with many other cities and hotels. The breakfast was good except for the coffee. The waiter was genuinely surprised, when I asked him to fill my cup for second time. It was a peak time in breakfast room, but there was enough of food. The only problem were plates and glasses. The kitchen seemed not be able to do the dishes fast enough.
Compared with 5 stars hotels like Corinthia Lisbon I wouldn't give 5 stars to this hotel, but it has lot of potential.

Alot of what others have written is right on the money. Good location. Bad, weak, instant coffee. Nice staff. Rooms okay. Breakfast okay. Clean. FYI: If you walk one block further up the main drag before turning left for the hotel, the steepness decreases considerably. Nothing to write home about for a 5 Star hotel. No extra pillows and no blankets in the room.

Rooms spacious and modern

Helpful reception staff and very friendly

Located just outside the busy centre and a 5 euro taxi ride.

Close to a good selection of restaurants

Good choice at breakfast but the coffee was disgusting and cappuccino was chargeable ! This needs fixing

We also had some very grumpy breakfast waiters
