We stayed there for a weekend and were not disappointed. It was the first time that a hotel showed some attention to my Birthday while I was staying there. In the evening we were suprised with a platter of fresh fruit and a bottle of nice Prosecco. Usually when I was staying at hotels during my B-Day they did not care at all. The rooms are equipped with a mini-bar and a water kettle. The hotel is pretty central and you can reach the main attractions or the Avenida da Liberdade on foot.

Stayed for two nights in the new year. Rooms are spacious, new and comfortable furniture. Beautiful view from the balcony of the city center. Breakfast is good, not the best, but different. Located on a quiet street, from Avenida da Liberdade five minutes on foot. The next visit will stop there!

This is a hotel that 'ticks all the boxes' for a 5 star hotel, but does not really have a 5 star experience. For example, there is a sauna but it is very small and not open in the evening, so as a business traveller you will not be able to use it.

On the other side; rooms are nice and clean. The beds are good; I slept well here. Also, the cleaners do a good job. The location is not bad, it is walking distance to the center (10-15 minutes) and metro (5 minutes). Price/value wise it seems a good choice.

The breakfast is pretty standard continental, and after a week it gets really boring. During weekends it is really crowded and there is not enough staff to manage breakfasts.

Overall, the staff is quite friendly. There were some difficulties with my check when checking out, some things I had to pay separate and could not be placed on the check.

Room Tip: Both the front and the back of the hotel are quiet

Arrived early at hotel but was given room straight away. The reception and bar area are beautiful. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. Excellent rain and massage shower(once I figured out how to control it !!!) couldn't find any English channels on tv though but that was no problem. Drinks are very reasonably priced, also had a club sandwich in bar which was delicious and a very generous portion or fries with it. All the staff were very friendly. Only downside is the hill back up to the hotel but I think I was getting used to it on the last night there. Don't let it out you off though, the das letras is a great place to stay

We walked everywhere however trams and metro nearby for those who wished.
Rooms are very smart and a good size.
Breakfasts are reasonably good.
Very reasonably priced and included breakfast.
Basement parking which was very convenient.

Stayed here in March 2013 for three nights. Hotwired the hotel for a very reasonable price, around $85USD.

We found the hotel very stylish and comfortable. The room was small but cozy, with nice wood accents and a very stylish, modern bathroom (with a fancy shower). Room also had a safe that we used to store our electronics and passports. We had an interesting view onto a building next door that appeared very old and historic.

The front desk staff was very attentive and took time out to give us information on the area, despite our very late arrival. They also were able to provide us with a US-EUR socket adaptor, which was a life saver because we had left ours at home.

Perhaps the only con is the area. Although centrally located, a very close walk to the main drag, we felt that there wasn't much to do in the immediate 5- to 10-minute walk around the hotel. (No restaurants, etc.) It's not a long walk at all to the main area, but we did feel like there were perhaps other hotels that were more centrally located.

One downside was that there was no breakfast included.

Positive:
A nice hotel, with very good services at the restaurant and excelent breakfast!!
The rooms are large and modern.
The quiet neighborhood.

Negative:
A little hard to find for the first time...because, from the subway, you must follow, climbing, a few little streets between buldings, for about 10 minutes.
A bit unfriendly reception...
