Delicious food, that keeps on arriving to the table on and on until you have almost to beg them to stop as you haven´t had the chance to tuck in and more different meats are being served. A bit pricey, but everything is of very good quality...besides you can start to diet the following day.

There are several "Chimarrao" bbq in Lisbon. I've only been to the one at Av. João II, Centro Comercial Vasco da Gama, Expo. Well, as a Southern Brazilian meat lover, I tend to be a little wary of the so-called Brazilian style steak houses abroad. Let's be straightforward: Brazilian "rodizio" barbecue equals to an astonishing variety of perfectly grilled beef, pork, poultry, lamb, etc., served in such a generous amount that it is impossible to a normal person even to try a sample of all available cuts. Far away from taking all that is offered, the idea is to accept only what you like, cooked as you wish. Otherwise, just say no to the army of waiters that surrounds you. According to these standards, one could hardly qualify "Chimarrao" as a Brazilian rodizio. By no means. Nonetheless, it it's very good in its own way. Decent barbecue, a good choice of salads, rice & beans, bananas alla milanese, all you can eat, at very, very friendly prices.
By the way, kudos for João, the Brazilian (from Curitiba) cook, a guy who knows how to grill a picanha to perfection. Even 5.000 miles away from home...

It's a local restaurant chain, that is not bad, but also doesn't excel.

Wandered in here for lunch after the Oceanarium and were pleased with the result. A well-appointed buffet salad bar and pretty damn good meat-on-swords going by. Wasn't too busy when we were there but there was still live music and a lively atmosphere. The fried bananas were also a big hit at our table. Highly recommended for a casual, fun lunch.
