“A bit high class but well worth the price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013

The multiple Michelin recommendation batches on their window originally caught our attention when passing by. We returned later in the evening -- and got the two last seats. Please book in advance!
We had seafood and that was really tasty, also the Vinho Verde white recommendation was excellent. Starters, seafood for two plus a good wine costed about 80€. Well worth the value.
The other diners seemed to be local businessmen, local well dressed couples and tourists.
Even though our waiter was very busy the service was professional, attentive and friendly -- you felt that you were an expected guest.
The atmosphere was nice: the walls were plastered to the last square cm with photos of celebrities and all kinds of soccer stuff like scarfs, jerseys, labels etc.

“Tourist Trap to Avoid at All Costs!!!!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013

The reviews of this restaurant led us to this Lisbon destination. We were put on the third floor with all of the other Americans. Meat and cheese plates and olives were set on the table upon arrival but we later learned these totaled 17 euros and were tacked onto the bill (thought were gratis). Seafood soup and Crab soup the same ultra-salty base except for some dollops of crab meat in the one (and 3 more euros in the cost). Took an hour from the time we ordered to get our soup. Then another hour to get our main course. The lobster and rice was spoiled and inedible at 35 euros and had to be returned to the kitchen. The lobster tasted faintly of rotten chicken. The chef and waiter both agreed was inedible and most likely cooked days before. Ask for a table on the first floor where the locals eat as you will have better service and food (and no fatty meat and cheese platters) if you choose to visit. In my seven times in Lisbon this was the by far the worst dining experience! The wine list is nice is the only good things to say about the place. Try Gambrinus down the street if you want good service at this price level.

“Great fish restaurant with a special vibe”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2013

We had some great portuguese food in this restaurant (choose fish - it was great! :) ). Instead of having a wine card you can look it up on an ipad where you'll find explanations and details of the wine (great idea). Our waiter was very nice & charming and really made us feel comfortable in this place! go and check it out.

“Good Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2013

Went here a few weeks ago without a reservation. We arrived shortly after opening and when we said we didn't have a reservation, they led us upstairs to a little side room on the second floor. Service started out a bit spotty...the gentleman was pretty grumpy and didn't seem too interested in answering our questions or making us feel welcome. Luckily, someone else took over and he was an absolute delight! Helpful, friendly and a great sense of humor. Definitely improved the experience.

As soon as you sit down, there are already a selection of appetizers on your table - cheese, bread, ham, olives, etc. You basically pick what you want and they take the rest away. But if you start eating from it, you buy it! We kept the cheese and the bread - they were both fantastic.

Wine list is very interesting...they give you an iPad and you can scroll through all the options to select what you want. We had the rice with lobster and shrimp and the bread bowl with lobster and shrimp - both quite tasty. I was finishing my rice dish (or so I thought) when the waiter appeared with more and re-filled my plate. Desserts were delicious, so save room if you can. The food was pricey, but very good. Not my favorite meal in Lisbon, but worth a visit.
