“Lovely sand”
Reviewed July 7, 2014

Water was too cold for me to swim in early July, but then I'm a bit of a wimp as far as swimming in cold is concerned.
No public toilets were the biggest drawback.Have just seen someone say there was a loo block-I didn't spot it.
The local restaurant seemed fine to have people go in to use the loo.
I found the food was cheaper here than in the posher places in town-I guess you pay for what you get. Bit crowded, but it was holiday time, and it is very close to Estoril town and next to the train station.

“Lovely beach”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

A sandy beach, sun loungers and parasols, a cafe and restaurant, ice creams, free and very clean shower and loo block. All this just a couple of minutes from the train station - brilliant!

“FROM INSIDE VIEW: Urban beach”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

After II World War this beach was attended by the royalty refugees that came to Estoril.
Because of its infrastructures like change rooms, medical assistance, lifeguards, outdoor café restaurant and snack-bars, it became very popular.
There is also an ocean pool nearby so there is a lot of young people jumping in that pool.
The train station of Estoril is just above and there is a lot of buses from Sintra and Cascais.

It is not my idea of a beach but in weekdays it is a little bit more quiet, with space to put your towel get a tan and maybe a god ocean bath.

“Typical touristic place”
Reviewed June 12, 2014

I think they show you one fish that they have in front of the restaurant and then, when you choose, they make you another one. No way that fresh seafood can be so unchewable. And the preparation takes forever. Below average

“Our best meal in Estoril”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

This is very central, on the seafront just along from the station. A great place to eat on the terrace and watch the world go by. The sea bass baked in salt was stunning as were the garlic prawns to start. This is a slightly more 'commercial/touristy' restaurant than La Bolina (another 300-400 metres along the front), ie pointing out to us that a tip is not included (twice), putting several dishes of unrequested tapas starters on the table hoping we'd try them all no doubt..... But, all in all, we couldn't fault the quality of the food. Well worth a visit.
