Liked the casino. Played for a bit over an hour. Good professionally run. Lots of different games and the bars were also good.

See the ceiling lights reflected on the black polished marble floor - dizzying! But keep a tight hold on you wallet - remember that casinos only exist to take money from you.

Three course buffet meal, a bottle of wine and a bottle of water for 15 Eus. each. This was on a Wednesday and not too busy, however on Sunday people were queuing to get in.
You can gamble if you want, but there is no pressure. The only thing is that on Sunday, the red lights on the floor gave the impression thatf you were going to plunge down to hell. I was tip toeing around the edge of the floor, even though I knew it was an illusion!

A very large Casino but quite a lot of under utilised floor space. We had the buffet dinner option which was decent enough for €15 a head. We mainly played Roulette as my girlfriend isn't an experienced gambler and it was the simplest game to play. I was quite taken aback when my girlfriend won €160 on a €5 bet and was actually asked for a €5 tip. I know it's customary and I normally do tip after reasonable wins but I've never been asked for a tip before. Not very classy.

When Ian Fleming penned James Bond's Casino Royale in Estoril it was definitely not inspired by the relatively modern carbuncle that infests Estoril today. Cavernous, mostly vacant, cheap, nasty, smoky (smoking permitted) and hopeless are some of the least offensive descriptors. Table game lovers with any sense of taste and style avoid at all costs.
