The food in this cafe/restaurant is nothing special. The little extras are very expensive and can be purchased in Cascais for a third of the price. The staff are welcoming but be aware of their up selling skills. Bread etc is automatically placed on tables with guests unaware that these will add at least 12 euros to the bill. A scoop of ice cream will add 3.50 to the price of your desert. A very small potion of chips will cost you 3.25 euros these are available at half the price across the park.
The sangria is terrible. It is cheaper and you will find much better quality food if you take a taxi or the train into Cascais. Nice staff shame about the food. For a reasonable lunch time snack for excellent value try the bar around the corner.
