Very nice boutique-like hotel, albeit with basic services. Very pleasant service from everyone. Great location and away from all the noise, yet close enough to walk to the various attractions and transportation options.

Room Tip: There are rooms facing the pool and facing out to the sunrise or others facing away from the pool wi...

We stayed for 12 nights. Hotel found for us by our local independent travel agent. Appealed to us because had pool, in walking distance of train/bus/beach and as quite small family orientated. Walk is a steep 10 mins up from station/beach - just beware of cobbles if you have heavy luggage - however this walk means that you are in a quiet residential area so are unaffected by any resort noise (not that there is much) Reception very helpful, rooms both overlooked pool and were extremely clean with functioning aircon daily maid service was excellent. Pool was lovely - toddler pool too. Plenty of shade to be found around pool and it did get very hot. Hotel seems to cater for a mix of groups - families ( with children ranging from months old to early 20's) together with couples (again ranging from mid 20's to older) and friends. I think this mix helps as the pool although busy was well behaved. Buffet breakfast was good breads, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, cheese, ham etc ample supply of food and breakfast room staff very attentive. This area did get a bit hectic as quite small and although this is a holidaymaker hotel in common with most hotels service started at 7.30 and ended at 10 not many holiday makers want breakfast that early so queues tended to form from 9.30 as the tables were still full. No alcohol is served in this hotel which definitely determines its character and would make it a good place to recommend if you are holidaying with children and want to avoid drink fuelled behaviour by your fellow residents! only gripes - basic snack bar food we ate out, safe has to be paid for by the day and if you are travelling with teenagers hotel wifi is expensive! otherwise a good readily accessible hotel ideal if like us you want a quiet family holiday with some sightseeing and some sunlounging

Room Tip: get a room with balcony overlooking pool aim for rooms starting 400 or 500 (there is a lift) pool is...

We stayed for a week at hotel lido. The rooms were basic, but clean and tidy!
We were the for the Ibercup football tournament. It is located on a steep hill, however, we didn't personally find it a problem! Just a bit more exercise. The train station and beech is approx 10 minute walk? The casino and lots of bars and restraunts were approx 5 minute walk. Some of the staff were really helpful, some not so much! If you get the right ones, you will be very happy. Breakfast is basic, But kept us happy. Overall, it's a good cheap hotel, however, if you have problems walking uphill, it's not the place for you.

This hotel is great for people who want to get up and around Estoril and Cascais. Estoril casino is about a 5 minute walk away. Lisbon is a distance on the train away, but easy enough. Estoril train station is a good 10 minute walk away, and the hill is steep on the return. The rooms are adequate and are at a 3* standard. Breakfast is adequate, but basic. The hotel does reasonable food, however we were served 3 slightly raw burgers! We were quickly apologised and given a refund on our meals. All in all a typical 3* hotel, there are some nice hotels in Estoril and Cascais!

Just returned from a week long stay at the Lido. It's a great hotel. We found the staff to be very friendly and really helpful throughout our stay. Both checking in and out were very easy and quick.
One of our rooms overlooked the pool and had a balcony which was great. The room was quite spacious and the daily cleaning was perfection. The other room had a street view, it had two balconies and got full sun in the evening.Beds were really comfortable. There was also a mini fridge in each room which was very handy.
Every part of the hotel is extremely well maintained and spotlessly clean. The location of the hotel is great with easy access to Cascais, Lisbon and the Lisbon coast. We were happy with every aspect of our stay at the Lido and look forward to staying there again. Thanks to everyone at the Lido.

Cheap rooms, but a bit out dated. Also location is up hill, not near where the action takes place (you have to use the quite affordable taxi's). Breakfast was a bit poor and overcrowded. If you want to go cheap, this is the place but don't expect any extra.

The hotel is not far from the beach, and it only takes a few minutes to walk down the hill to the station and seafront. Transport links to Cascais and Lisbon are very good from the station. However, the trek back up the hill needs consideration for anyone with mobility problems. The staff at the hotel were helpful, the room was a typical 3* room - clean and fine for a short break. The pool is lovely, but it's unheated so May was a bit too early to take a dip! Breakfast was a little disappointing but was typical hotel buffet fare. English guests - take your own tea bags! The tea on offer was very weak. Overall good value for money.
