Had everything we needed and was very clean. Me and my girlfriend came over from England for our friends wedding for 7 days and thoroughly enjoyed Cascais and the surrounding area.
Would visit again if we came back to the area as it is good value for money. Yes, it does have a railway running beside it but then again your not in the hotel 24/7. So didn't bother us in the slightest.

Very happy with my 5 night stay there. The staff were fantastic, helped me out with a number of things, special thanks to Rita and I think the Manageress. Rooms were of a decent size with a good size TV, telephone and nice bathroom with bath and shower. Breakfast was fine, had cereals, toast, bread rolls and great coffee and tea, no hot food though. Location was great, 5 mins to beach and 3 mins to railway and bus station., 40 mins to Lisbon and 5 mins to Cascais by train. Would stay there again when in Estoril.

Room Tip: A room with a balcony is great especially if you smoke.

This is a small hotel in a great location. Proximity to the station means it is easy to get into Lisbon, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the frequent trains did not disrupt sleep. Cascais is within walking distance, and taxis easy to obtain. Relaxed ambience. Shower was excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly - they were happy to promptly mail an item left in the room by my husband.

Sao Mamede is what you would expect of a 2-star hotel: cheap with a decent service. The rooms are clean and well maintained but we were disappointed by the lack of access to a kettle. The breakfast is decent considering the price we paid per night and the location allows for easy access to the beach, casino and the train service to Lisbon. The room can be quite loud during the day due to the road and the railroad nearby, but the windows are double glazed and take out all the noise when closed. Rooms are fully air conditioned. The staff were very helpful during our stay and would recommend it for anyone looking for an affordable room (assuming you're not too fussed about lack of tea).

My stay was very cheap for about 45,- Compared to this rate the stay for one night was OK. The Location is fine and close to some goood spots (Casino, beach) Parking can be a problem, there are some streets around to park but not many. I could not see any larger parking area. If you check in, drive with car from Cascais direction and enther the small "drive in" bay direct in front of the hotel entrance. You can drop your luggage and then drive around to find a parking slot. The room was old style, bed was not comfortable and one of the windows didn't close fully. Breakfast is toast, butter, jam, cheese and ham and coffee - so very basic. Sttaff was friendly and helpful. I can't complain about too much noise in the night - but it was offseason.

Dear Guest,
We are very thankful for your kind review on Tripadivisor.
It is pleasant to know that your stay was better that you had expected.
Everybody loves our Location we are close to the Estoril hot spots (Casino, beach, congress center)
Unfortunately most of the hotels and residence people has some difficult to free Parking, but there are some streets around to park but payment is required. All our Bedrooms have being refurbished on 2010 , but We will try to figure out what happened with your bed and the window . It´s a pity to know this informations after your stay, maybe if you had told us during your stay, we could had a chance to fixed this situation.
Our Sttaff are very glad to hear your kind comment about them .
We hope to welcome you once again,

Our best regards,

Hotel São Mamede Team.
