This restaurant lies on the edge of the cliffs with panorama view of the Atlantic ocean. We had a late dinner here, experiencing the beautful sunset accompanied by excellent seafood and wine. Lobster, Seabass, Tiger Prawns... very, very good! Would recommend a visit!

This is a real find and you know it the moment you walk in the door. A very fresh fish of the day selection plus a range of shellfish. The terrace looks over the ocean and is sheltered from the wind. Staff were extremely pleasant and friendly. The clams were sublime as was the pata negra with a few oysters on the side for good measure. Steamed whole sea bass was the best fish we have had in Portugal washed down with Carmo white from the Douro. A total pleasure and so much so we are going back tomorrow! The terrace was full but we were the only non- Portuguese which I took to be a locals vote of confidence.

I was looking fora restaurant near the hitel I'm stayingin. Thus, this was a really happy occasion that I get to tis restaurant. Sadly, I couldn't enjoy the view - it was really foggy - but waier and meal were worth all the money (yes, it is probably will be the priciest meal I've had during this holidays, but fare not as pricey as some places I've eaten in).
Well, this is probably will be the highest review I'll give for a restaurant ever. It was really good combination - a "straight forward" grilled fish like I love complimented by the rest.
As Germans say, "gerne wieder" - with pleasure again.

I had a birthday celebration here and it was very special in so many ways. The view of the sea was superb, the food excellent and the waiters could not have been kinder. It was pretty pricey but probably worth the money as the food was so exceptional. I would definitely recommend it as a place to go for something special.

Nortada is perched on the hillside overlooking the Atlantic and as such puts on a great sunset show.

I dined on the verandah, protected from the elements by clear screens.

The staff were exactly the right amount of attentive, helpful and leaving you to dine in peace; no easy thing.

A half bottle each of the house wines, red and white, were very tasty and priced very reasonably.

The meal comprised an:
appetiser of cured pork slices and warmed local cheese on lavosh, absolutely delightful;
creamy tomato soup with a poached egg onboard, exactly as advertised and brought the farm tastes superbly to the table;
Sea Bass pie with steamed vegetables, the pie case pastry was done just right and the Sea Bass and attendant prawns were cosily packed inside in a lovely creamy sauce. the vegetables set the only odd note of the evening, being not so much steamed as salted. It felt as if the kitchen help had run down to the seaside and covered them in a bucket of brine when the chef was not looking. Maybe they had :-).

In any event the overall dining experience was a delight for the combination of setting, service and 'salt-free' dishes.

Highly recommended for any evening to be that little more special.
