Just back from a few days in Cascais. A lovely quiet but busy area of Portugal. It is very beautiful and for a busy spot it is very tranquil at the same time. The hotel Cascais Miragam is great. We were on the 6th floor and had a fabulous sea view and as other reviews point out is a must for this hotel.Views are stunning. Hotel is spotless, our room was gorgeous, spacious and the cleaning service is fantastic. Clean towels , twice a day at least !! fresh linen, turndown service with compliementary water and two little mini cakes. Staff are helpful and very pleasant. Spa is excellent and very good staff - again spotless clean. Lovely areas to lounge and read, pool area lovely and great staff. Sun does go down early at hotel location but in good temps its still warm. Lovely stroll to the centre of Cascais , beach just across the road and the tunnel is fine to use.
we extended our stay for a late check out and were a bit annoyed that our key card stopped working early after arranging this and on our room bill was an extra ten euro from the minibar that we did not use. again like another review the reception staff just said ok and removed the minibar charge no questions asked but no 'Oops that shouldnt have happened. These are only small little things but they are annoying and shouldnt happen 5 star or no star but they do no take from a wonderful hotel , staff , location and to be recommended. This is ideal for couples and for relaxation.
