I've been to this place half a dozen times. With different views.
If the sea is rough the experience is awesome. The waves crashing through the hole and on to the rocks. You can see and understand how this beautiful rock formation occurred. We've spent ages watching and photographing the show. Go up on to the level where the gift shop is. There is a whole different view through the rocks from there in to the sea. The views from all angles are free. Be careful on really windy days, on the lower viewing point. The waves are high and could be dangerous. The rock formation is exceptional, however on calm sunny days, that's all it is. Beautifully formed rocks made this way be the sea and the elements over vast years.
There are some cafes and shops selling local sweets etc and a gift shop. A restaurant with good reviews there too. Although I haven't tried it.

Went on a overcast day which was windy so thought the sea would be quite dramatic sadly no. However it is a pleasant walk from Cascais.

We had been to Cascais before but never made it to here and can't believe we didn't make the effort. Absolutely fanstastic got to be seen to be believed. Go.

Walk from the sea front to the right and up the hill to the right and you will come across a restaurant cut into the cliff. It looks a bit cafe style with plastic chairs but don't be fooled. Really great fish - have the seafood kebab and the great thing is wine is only €8 and thats for the more expensive bottle and tastes great. We came over for the Optimus alive festival in Alges and can't wait for next year. This restaurant will be the 1st on our list.
