Though not strictly a restauarant - it's really a coffe shop/tea room/cafe, this gem was a REAL discovery, during a rather unfortunate visit to Cascais in June this year. The weather was most unseasonal, and we spent much of the time walking along the coast road, and in and around the town instead of lounging by the hotel pool or on the town beach.
No matter, we chanced upon this oasis, which we visited on at least five of the seven days we were in Cascais.
The coffee was to die for, and the Pastel de Nata - well talk about melt in the mouth!
The cafe had only been open about a month, and the young ladies serving in the shop were so lovely and made us so welcome, even though our skills in the Portuguese patois are minimal!
If you go to anywhere in the area, it's worth making your way into the town, just to sit outside (weather permitting) and chill for a while - Oh, AND enjoy the coffee and pastel!
