We visited the beach from Lisbon by train (40 mins)and that was a painful experience. Although this is not what I am reviewing I feel you should know to expect very long queues for tickets and pretty full trains as it is a popular route (My tip is to bring lots of change and buy a return ticket for zone 4, as this is not very clear anywhere). The beach itself is a short walk from the train station in Cascais. It is a busy beach so it took us quite some time to find a spot. It is an active port so expect plenty of noise and smells. As the title reads it's nothing amazing and we did not make a second trip out to it, but if you are around Cascais it's worth a look.
